Seen as though it's winner stays on (I'm unbeaten in 2) i'm going for 3 in a row....assuming the game goes ahead. Sat Kick off is 3pm at SJP, it remains to be seen however whether the game goes ahead or not, and whether or not fans are allowed in if it does. 7th place Sheffield Utd are 8 points ahead of us in the league, they will still be smarting from the VAR incidents in the first fixture between the two sides earlier in the season no doubt. Dub-goalie has joined the injury pile adding to the list which currently includes clark, dummett, carroll and krafth. No covid-19 cases have been confirmed at the club so other than the above the remainder of the squad can be selected from, with the exception of Darlow coming in for Dub-Goalie I'm expecting we'll remain unchanged. Twat in the black is David Coote with Martin Atkinson on VAR duties. Think this will be a 2-2 draw with Jo-El-Inton and Miggy on the scoresheet for us, although ASM will have one ruled out by the VAR....twat ! Stay safe people.
Callum Hudson-Odoi now confirmed as having it and all of the Chelsea squad now self isolating. I'll be surprised if there isn't at least a short break in the season announced today. The thing that strikes me is if so many sportsmen and politicians are confirmed as having it, how many of us have it and don't know. I don't think it's likely that the proportion of famous people who have it confirmed matches the proportion of famous people who actually have it. It seems like they are being tested as soon as they display even very mild symptoms, whereas we are not.
10.30 Premier league clubs teleconference, Bruce, Rogers, Arteta and others want to shut the league down, looks like that's the likely outcome sadly.
Seem to be suggesting a 2 week break up to next International break - so essentially 4 weeks. Hopefully time for Dubravka to recover
What a **** weekend this is shaping up to be. Nee footy, nee F1 and nee golf...FFS ! Might have to take a leaf out of chippy's book, stock up on cans and just sit and get ****ed at home !
All takeovers are off due to coronavirus. As Roly has quite rightly pointed out, Ashley is gonna be worth diddleysquat soon so he'll be pouring everything he has into us. Chippy might get them fancy new bogs he so longingly wishes for
Assuming they re-start on 4th April, with the FA Cup and International break we would actually only miss one game (Sheff Utd) - some clubs will miss 2 games maximum, so I guess they'll just be slotted in like a normal rearranged fixture
we miss two mate, Sheff Utd and the FA Cup against Citeh. They've already had their arsenal game cancelled so the fixtures are piling up thick and fast for them....not that they're in with a shout anymore. Another reason why we won't beat them in the cup. F1 likely to be suspended until May but that makes more sense to me. You can't just cart all that gear, cars, people and garage equipment from country to country only to cancel races, it's just madness. Far better to knock stuff on the head, get everybody back where they need to be and keep them all in one place until this settles down.
Presumably Sunderland will still be playing then. Hopefully the Warm Glow doesn't develop into a fever and cough.
This coronavirus thing could make a warm glow pleasant somehow. Consider this scenario: the season is abandoned due to coronavirus, so no team is relegated from the Premier League, so no team is promoted from the lower leagues. Our six-fingered friends remain in league one with parachute cash dried up.
