The signs are there, first opening day win since 2012 or I could be a realist and say if we beat Brighton on Saturday we only need 31 more points.Glass half full/half empty?
Nothing wrong with optimism mate, without it we’d not bother with the game. You could well end up being a dark horse, there’s usually at least one, personally I just don’t see it, but I’m not going to criticise Geordies for having a bit of belief. (apart from Chaos and his takeover ****e, as he’s a loon )
I think he was being sarcastic mate, least - I know I was. I'd be buzzing with 10th and thats optimistic
Until last week I fancied you to be in the mix for relegation, but the new faces appear to have given the club a big lift, and an opening day away win is always a good thing.
No chance the Toon...nothing has changed for them...just aimlessly doing their time in the PL. Everton seem like a different prospect all together. if their owners back the manager they will overtake our spot because we are not competing adequately enough to maintain it in the long run. Newcastle just playing balance the books like we do
If Arsenal don’t make top 6 this season then something is very ****ing wrong. Would be hoping we can really push on this season and challenge for a top 4 spot. As for Everton, remains to be seen what they can do. They’ve got a top manager and they’ve spent big, so the expectation is there for them to improve. Whether they can break into the top 6 will depend on the form of Arsenal, Wolves and Spurs.
Two groups - City Livpl Chavs top 3 (not in any order), then United, Arsenal, Everton fighting it out for 4th.
Oh thank you, need to change that. Twas fun while it lasted but I think even 2 weeks was a bit overkill.
