This has been going on for years and no one has really raised any serious objections.
In principle the idea of trying to achieve equal representation of 1 MP for every 75,000 voters appears to be fair, it's just when you see where the lines are drawn and which particular party it favours that the problems begin.

I don’t think they’re desperate at all, I suspect they’d probably win again anyway if nothing changed given the state of the opposition.

That's the top and bottom of it. You don't need to rig anything with massive majority and the opposition constantly punching itself in the knackers. I hoped Starmer might get a grip of the lunatic fringe, but he's a wet lettuce. Labour need a Kinnock who'll take them head on.

    An absolute non-troversy.

I do like it when 'Our Lords and Masters ' get a big public kicking.

It's never a bad idea to remind that they are there to serve us, not the other way round.

Never vote for the Party in power is my motto, (except where the sitting Member is on the special side or the Party have done well).
If more of us followed this principal we would get the beggars hopping.

Think it's more to do with them going roughshod with hs2 through their area and threatening to build some cheap homes?

Not aware of their stance and would be against it, but they'll still get my vote and I'd let Julie know next time she comes knocking at the door...

I think that being PM was, a bit like Trump, all about being able to say he'd done it rather than any great conviction to be a good leader. I reckon he thought he'd 'sort Brexit' and swan off with a lot of good stories to tell during his after-dinner engagements. Covid scuppered his plans somewhat but I can well imagine that Cummings is broadly correct and he'll time his leaving so that he gains maximum kudos.
