Quite amazing that we beat our record signing, spent £60+m outspending everyone everywhere (except Chelsea) following years of only spending what we make in sales and yet it's such small news given everything else that is going on!

 

Saints have sacked manager Nathan Jones after seven defeats in his eight Premier League matches. First-team coaches Chris Cohen and Alan Sheehan have also left the club, as confirmed in a statement on Sunday morning. On the podcast this week we'll be covering that big piece of club news and discussing who might step in to replace the manager over the coming weeks, we'll also review the game against Wolves, look ahead to the next game in the Premier League against Chelsea and recap the fan forum that took place last week with TSP Patron, Ed Bizzey.

Looking forward to this one - I actually caught up with last week's on the day of the Chelsea match, so maybe I should do it again as it worked!

 

I’ve gone the other way, I’ve taken to watching it on YouTube, either live or shortly afterwards. It’s become an important part of my post-game debrief, especially as the panellists seem to exactly echo what I think myself, albeit with greater articulation and far deeper insight!

 

Rubén Sellés is the official manager of Southampton FC following a triumphant win again Chelsea last week but the party ended quickly this weekend following a loss to Leeds that left a sour taste in our mouths, giving Leeds their first Premier League win since Bonfire Night! In a season filled with so many lows, Saints have had quite the week! After failing to escape the bottom 3 during the week against Brentford (and coming away with a loss) the team put in a solid performance this weekend and pulled back from being 3-1 down against Spurs to secure a draw and a much-needed point. The panel break both those games down and previews the next match against West Ham after the international break.
