I would argue some of this is on him. He has set us up exactly like he did on 3 occasions last season, with a deep back 5 and hoping to hit them on the counter. This didn't work last season because their CB's controlled the final third too well and their wide players are both quick and strong. If anything that issue has gotten worse this season and as a result we are creating zilch. Can't keep the ball for more than 5 seconds at a time.

If he's making no personnel changes, I'd push Sess and Emerson higher up the pitch, level with the CMs, drop Kane deeper and look to spring a much higher counter attack.

Their only weakness defensively is that Silva and Koulibaly aren't the fastest. We are doing nothing to exploit that.

It's been a tactical disaster by Conte, again. Simple as.

And yes this is probably sexist but are sky always going to have a female analyst for every match now? I want the banter between two ex pros. Everything is so bloody PC these days. Yeah I’m in a foul mood <laugh>

I want Kane and Son to stay around the halfway line.
Any goal conceded is not going to be down to them.
If Spurs are fortunate may trap James with a foul again.

This is also where the difference in mentality shows.

Are Chelsea considerably better from a talent perspective? No, you could even make an argument to say we have slightly more quality in areas.

But mentally they are far superior to us. They’ve approached this game with the belief they’re far better than us and it’s showing.

I would rather we went for it now and lost 3-0 than try and stay in the game and limp to a pathetic 1-0

Chelsea have just been quicker to the ball and our response has been to play more deliberate slower football which is exactly the opposite of what we need to do. We just need to move the ball quicker and close them down quicker.
Having said that, this is only the second game of the season and we have not yet integrated the new signings. The media has as usual gone over the top and bigged up Spurs and written off Chelsea. Result people expect too much and when it doesn't happen straight away BOOM. A midfield of Kante and Jorginho is never going to be easy is it. This is the same team we are playing as we did last season but we are only one goal down so all is not lost if we can react in the second half.

The corner for the goal ,we had 5 players not marking a chav and as for Son who can't head a ball against 3 chavs ffs

It’s all mentality mate, which is why it’s so frustrating that we are such a bunch of pussies when we play here!

Watching from an Italian cruise ship in the med and everyone is glued to some Serie A game and wondering why my son and I are going bat ****...

Poor Sess is getting ripped apart and the Viking playing way too deep. They are being bullied all over the pitch and look like rabbits in headlights. At least not many Chav fans on board so there is one bonus.....

The only consolation for me is that it’s a nightmare fixture out of the way for us early on. You’d hate it if this was a final five game where both are playing for something.

That true. Probably shouldn’t have had so many beers before the game as it’s not really helping my rational thinking <laugh>

    Bissouma for Kulu.

We're as likely to score with just the 2 up front and we have to take the midfield

They have a better midfield than us ATM we need Kulu to bypass it. If we score it will probably be on the break not by playing through midfield

Conte's not without blame...but where's the effort and fight?

Time to get some of the new lads on and see what they can bring.

I didn't see any lack of effort, we were just getting overrun in the midfield.
No supply to the forwards and very little overall possession.

My only hope is that Chelsea tired in the second half v Everton last week.
