Did not watch the game (had a real bad feeling beforehand about it) . Read a match report, and saw the starting XI, : 1. attack, which showed Jose at least recognised the fragility of the 2-0 lead (as I and others stated after the 1st leg) 2. with a Winkssoko CM so I cannot say I am surprised by the outcome. IMHO this game (and this past week) so closely mirrors the AVB era and the EL away tie against Inter Milan in 2013. Specifically the squad forced to play 120 mins and then losing the PL game the following weekend against Fulham (which started a PL slump decisive enough in duration to allow the Goons to take the CL slot as they did in 2012) . So this week, ^ Fulham ^ Villa (fielding Grealish + Watkins) . Go figure ...
On the one hand, this would be utterly humiliating ...on the other hand, imagine the reaction from Woolwich if we get reinstated into the competition and knock them out?
