Good result for us. We top the group on GD with the only team to beat us still to come to our home ground.
Not EL related but most recent thread, Kane and Son been nominated for the PL player of the month, Jose nominated for the manager of the month, gwaaarn the boys!
The next day I finally get the joke. No doubt this will be happening to me more often in my advanced years.
Nonsense, as you get older your brain does not deteriorate it just becomes more focused. Now where did I put my..... what? Of course I know what I'm doing, I am only the same age as Trump and he's the President...................... ok ok, I know he's a moron........... yes I know he can't count. Perhaps he does need to make way for a younger man.................Joe!, welcome Joe.
I'm assuming it won't take fifteen minutes to work out what formation we're playing on Thursday, unlike our U23s this evening...
please log in to view this image Thursday 26th November 8pm Europa League Group Stage Tottenham Hotspur Stadium An excellent result against City, albeit one achieved by parking the bus and frustrating the hell out of them. A great way to return from the international break, but now we're back to the fixture grind and down a centre-half. Our visit to Bulgaria was a successful one and the performance was pretty good, too. Another win would put us in a very solid position in the group, but we've also got a big game coming up on the weekend. Will Mourinho put out the strongest team he has available or will he have one eye on his old team Chelsea? The visitors have only had one game since our meeting at the start of the month, as their weekend fixture against Botev Plovdiv was postponed. I've no idea why, but it leaves them with a solitary run-out against CSKA 1948 since we played them. They're a breakaway club from CSKA Sofia. Ludogorets dispatched them fairly routinely, winning 3-0 away from home. 1948 are 4th in the table, so that's a decent result. It maintained their place at the top of the table, which they hold from our qualifying opponents Lokomotiv Plovdiv. They also have a game in hand, so it's looking like a 10th consecutive title is a fairly safe bet. No injury news yet, but Alderweireld won't be available for this one. Neither side has any suspensions. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon; Sissoko, Hojbjerg; Son, Ndombele, Bergwijn; Kane. Subs: Hart, Rodon, Davies, Lo Celso, Bale, Moura, Vinicius. League form: WDWWWW. Ludogorets: Stoyanov; Cicinho, Sa, Nedyalkov, Moti; Santana, Yankov, Badji; Cauly, Keseru, Tekpetey. Subs: Iliev, Ikoko, Terziev, Dyakov, Jorginho, Tchibota, Mitkov. League form: DWDWWW. Ref: Not announced yet. I'll edit it when they are. Probably today or tomorrow. TV: BT Sport 2. How would you like to line up for this one and what would you change from the City game? Would you stick with much of the same lineup, make a few changes or go for a wholesale switch? Which system and tactics would you use and what are you expecting Ludogorets to go with?
Got a pretty congested few weeks ahead so I think utilising the squad is gonna be key. Think we’ll see something like: Hart Aurier, Sanchez, Tanganga, Davies Lo Celso, Sissoko Bale, Dele, Lucas Vinicius Be great if Clarke, White and Cirkin can get a run out too.
Starting XI for the first leg : Hart, Doherty, Alderweireld, Dier, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Lo Celso, Bale, Lucas, Kane (C). Based on : 1. Upcoming Chelsky game 2. Starting XI against Citeh 3. Current squad physical malaise IMHO you are looking at : Hart, Davies, Winks, GLC, Bale, Moura. As this is a home tie, I would start with Vini (he needs to start doing the business with this new EL fixture melee + the christmas schedule coming) . Beyond that, given we need to win this one then who else do you trust to front up in a starting XI ??
Twelve of their players testing positive for Covid a few days after we played them might explain why their weekend match was postponed...
