This one was pretty damning: “He has been here for five years now and we are still making similar mistakes as we were the first year." Kane is having a go at the players there and rightly so but it also reflects badly on the manager. Five years of persistence with similar mistakes, why has he not done things to stop or reduce them?
Part of that is also due to the academy, which has not really been producing players to serve the seniors in any serious capacity, since the class of 2012-13.
Poch's biggest unmended error-not giving the captaincy to Kane. It is an on pitch player who can rally the players to hold on to a lead.
I was wondering how Ericson's free kicks have gone down the pan.How does a player suddenly "lose it?" Doesn't he practice it anymore in training? ….and to be honest, poor defence or not,I wouldn't mind seeing us win 3-2 every match!!!!!!?
He should be doing that anyway. Not wearing the armband isn't an excuse to shy away from playing that role. Poch's biggest unmended error is that he keeps making the same errors.
So what plan should ENIC have had to deliver more trophies? We were way off winning anything when they started. In the first few years they could have spent more on players but more recently they have been constrained by FFP. Whether we like it or not being top 4 is more important than winning the domestic cups, although the better we are the more likely we will also win a cup. Winning the Carabao and coming sixth would be a terrible outcome. Winning the Europa League even worse. Also there is no known way of making a football club worth more other than onfield success. Winning trophies is an outcome of a successful strategy, not something you can target seperately.
@Spurlock should get s 20 point deduction from the all teams prediction league for his appalling behaviour...a far more fitting punishment for picking on @Dier Hard (even thought the Greslish loving twat deserves it.)
Winning the europa is better than winning the league cup fact. Winning the europa is also better than just a single top 4 spot also fact. The reason winning the europa isnt something targetted is because its a knockout and something going wrong on the day can knock you out. Also its bad for impeding a teams league form.
It does. You could argue a cl run and top 4 is better than europey is better by getting you more money but europey is better than a top 4 spot. You get a medal and you get a pot 1 cl spot.
Playing Thursdays and less cash is the disadvantage except that Levy would still charge £100 to watch Spurs v Dinamo Wherethefekarewe. The up side is a pot and a cl pot 1 place, I'd take it.
Total average prize money for winning the EL = €28m Total average prize money just for getting out of your CL group = €37m. That's the difference.
Yes, but you only get into it by failing in the first place. I genuinely hope we never again descend to the level of being able to win it.
