I had a gooner bloke I know phone me up this afternoon to try and take the micky he said what is it with you spurs fans you draw a game in the champions league and you give it large like you have won the competition you should make a dvd to celebrate .so my reply was I haven't got time to watch a re run of the game I'm still watching highlights of last season's 2 thrashings le arse got against Munich
Very likely scenario, the other 4 English teams finish top of their groups and we finish 2nd. This would mean we could only face the other 3 group leaders-2 of which will be Barcalona and PSG. Brilliant. Not.
Easy mate. We just drew against the world's best team in their back yard and done so with a depleted side. Barca and PSG will be cake walks
Roma might change that. Only one point separate the top three in Liverpool's group too. City and Utd should win their groups though.
They were raped in the summer, we took half of a very good CB pairing off them and City took an excellent keeper off them. They also lost other first team players to other European teams, Mitroglou, Semedo and Marcal in particular, that is 5 important players from the team/squad. They will be back though once the team settles.
I'm feeling frighteningly optimistic about us in the CL right now, though I imagine that, one way or another, something in the Liverpool match will curb my enthusiasm. I just don't see us losing to Real Madrid at home. There. I said it. I can even see us winning. I know, I know. It's this very reckless enthusiasm that so often leads to heartache as a Tottenham fan, and a part of me knows it's foolish, but when players like Sissoko are doing this..... ...can you blame me? We still have key players coming back from injury / suspension too! COYS!
WT ACTUAL????? Stop now...wind your neck in and stop with this happy clappy optimistic ****e... we are spurs ... to dare is to leave you broken hearted... That is our true moto for a good reason and don't forget it
Modric at Spurs had one fault, I thought, which was that he would try to spring the counter even when it wasn't on, and he would have been better advised to slow things down. But he was class then and the best outfield player Tuesday, I thought.
Those ****ers must have also forgotten the fact they celebrated a draw with Bournemouth last season as if they'd won the world cup.
This is the same set of fans who act as if winning last season's FA Cup makes their team exempt from criticism, criticism such as the fact they failed to qualify for the Champions League, large chunks of their squad are in the final year of their contracts and showing no interest in sticking around, and we finished eleven points ahead of them with a goal difference that was nearly double what their was?
I don't think that I know any Arsenal fans that care about the game anymore, funnily enough. They all seem to have rapidly gone off it, for some reason!
That's proper respect, in my opinion. (First time I've ever approved of autocorrect's autocorrrections!)
