Dear Smithy, so very sorry to hear your sad news. It is such a difficult time to endure. Thinking of you, with all good wishes. God Blessx
After reading this and not really having much interaction with you i wasn't sure how to take it. Now i have read on all i can say is really sorry for your loss Smithy, will be in my thoughts tonight (i don't pray)
Yeah I feel a bit for Doherty, he was signed but then asked to play in a very different way to what he was used to.
Jose doing what Jose does, asking the board to provide better players asked whether Tottenham's slump was related to his style of management, Mourinho replied: "No, not at all. Mine and my coaching staff's methods are second to nobody in the world. "I think for a long, long time, we have problems in the team that I cannot resolve by myself as a coach."
I don't interpret this as a nudge to the Board for more players. He's alluding to problems within the team that a coach alone cannot solve. We can only speculate what these problems are.
Jose being Jose and blaming anyone but himself as usual. I enjoyed seeing this farce and his media meltdowns when he was Chelsea manager (twice) and at Utd but seeing his poison drip into the club I love is painful. Praying for the nightmare to be over soon
Levy? I understand a football "coach" doesn't have the remit of a more conventional manager and is limited by what he can do? This would support some of us suggesting that a DoF would be beneficial and would avoid the need for players to go blabbing to Levy! There are many potential reasons that he could be alluding to but yes, my understanding is that if any problems are not within his remit or powers, then Levy is the next man up which presents all kinds of issues.
So sorry to read that Smithy, please accept my condolences. And thanks for the reminder of what's really important and how trivial football really is.
