Jonas Olsson to fill in at Centre Back.

I would be very happy if this happens!

 

Connor Goldson on loan from Brighton apparently. A 24 year old, big centre-back, who is not the quickest, but would be a wise addition considering our injuries.

 

Yeah I thought we would go with some no mark!! The cheaper option as usual!

Fulham have bid £15Million for Dwight Gayle and Wolves are looking at spunking £30Million today!

Apparently this kid was having treatment for a heart condition!!!

You couldn't make it up!

 

Relatively common heart condition that is very much treatable..

He's been back training since the end of last season and played 3 or 4 matches this pre season and 1 in the Kia Ora cup, so he should be fit and healthy to do a job for us until the new year (and possibly beyond)

 

Nothing has been confirmed yet.

 

Where did Jonas go? Or did he get the hump?!

Apparently he's an attacking right back....errr, we need a centre back

 

Am I missing something bloody obvious here? Our central defence is shot so we are playing full backs out of position to cover, so we sign another full back!!
Our midfield is threadbare and the players we are fielding in the main are poor, so we don't get a loan midfielder!!
I can only hope this means our injury crisis is easing or this makes no sense at all.

 

Needed a cb, signed a rb that can cover at cb if needed but is no specialist cb, smacks of desperation to me!
Is he any better than our youngsters, probably not a lot in it and once again we are blooding other teams youngsters instead of our own, flippin disgraceful imo!
Meanwhile, the happy clappy brigade applaud any signings, good or bad! Wake up ITFC, this happens every friggin transfer window!

 

I have to say, this is an absolute friggin joke.
We've had three weeks to find one CB, and instead we wait til the last minute, pi$$ about, and end up signing a kid who doesn't even play as a CB. As spanish said, this is sheer desperation.
All that good work we did getting those four wins will now be totally undone.
Even though were 2nd, not a lot has changed at the club...still the same **** year after year

 

Been pleased with our transfer dealings up to this point. The only one I questioned was Iorfa because we already had our own young RB to develop, then we go and get another one!! Are we making up for the years when we didn't have a RB and now we're trying to get as many as possible!! Even Skuse and Ward have both played RB before also!!

 

Yet another dismal and abject Transfer window!

We are crying out for a decent Centre Back and yet we end up with a fooking Right Back!! McCarthy has known for weeks that we are desperately short at Centre Back so why didn't he get some one in sooner? Am I missing something here! This club is fooking clueless!

 

I dont know what to think of it all. Just know and respect comment from mates on here, some of whom get to watch a game or 3.....and know that we could do a better job at running the Club!

Hope MM has seen healthier tea leaves in our cup of injury woes!

I really hope we can maintain this surprising start, but fear that if we lose at Loftus Road, we may just fall away.

 

Letting Berra go without replacing him in the Summer was just rank stupidity! Webster and Tommy are both sick notes! We will be lucky if we have a settled CB pairing before November at this rate! This beloved club of ours is a bloody joke and not a funny one!
