Calm down, calm down it's a stop-gap, Dykes won't be available for a fair while and we have no one even remotely close to fulfilling a similar role to him. If nothing else he'll bring some experience and nous we don't really have in the team bar Stef.

That said, if we were happy to do this why didn't we just keep Austin?

Why bother though Frome, he will cost us money, he's bang average, we won't get relegation and won't get in top 6 absolutely zero reason to waste 6mths of money

The only vague bit of excitement I have had at Hull and Huddersfield was Sinclair giving a **** and creating chances. At Fleetwood I watched Dykes not giving a crap and having a laugh at FT with their manager. It's not a calm down calm down situation, give youth a chance, fxxk me Sunderland played a 15yr old last week

Yeah, we can do better than that. I reckon a couple of the under 8s are ready.

Who's saying Sinclair is not going to get another chance? He'll figure heavily I bet but we need other options too. If Armstrong doesn't get a goal soon or has any more squandered moments like he did last Saturday we could be seeing is confidence in the gutter. Having another older head in the squad is no bad thing.

    Everyone: “we need another striker”
    QPR: Gets another striker
    Everyone: “not that striker”

I know we could of got Haaland, if SLF had just pulled his finger out

This really is scapping the bottom of the barrel, I never liked him or rated him even in his pomp. Since 2018 he's played 118 times and scored 18 goals, equating at roughly a goal every 6 games ! I'd rather us play Lowe or Armstrong as the main striker for the remaining games of the season. A true sign of where we are as a club at the moment, beyond depressing.

So basically there are quite a few people on here that think that anyone who has ever played as a no.9 is worthy of getting a few quid out of our coffers, and will do a grand job

Calm down everyone. He's our player now. Looking at the official picture, he's good at balancing the ball with his finger. Hope he realises he has to "kick" the ball into the goal not finger it!

Ok he’s signed & not the sort of player any of us would’ve wanted but it’s a striker which we need, so as he is here now let’s give him & team full support on Saturday

I’d have experimented by sticking Dickie up front, other injuries permitting. He’s a lump and can hammer in the odd goal when given opportunity. He’s also not practically retired from the professional game. It really couldn’t be worse than what we’ve seen at Hull.
