For some reason, my phone always changes 'and' to 'Ahmed', no idea why. Got quite a few other weird ones too but my phone is four years old now

Yep - can’t see us renewing Bobbys contract so he’ll either go this year or next.

 

It's difficult with the players who don't have good English but Bobby is definitely a dressing room favourite and huge fan favourite. We need all that positive energy. He scores some outrageous goals as well. As I said, I'm not good with the head over heart decisions. I like players who make me smile, what can I say.

 

Bobby is about being fit.

He's actually done ok this season compared to last season but he just hasn't kept fit (again)

6 CL games. 5 goals but he was only subbed on in 3 of those games and missed another 6 completely.

20 league games and 5 goals and 4 assists. 16 games missed through injury and 2 as unused sub. 985 mins so thats 11 actuall games so 5 and 4 isn't too bad a return for limited appearance time.

5 fa cup games but 3 as sub for 20mins and 1 goal.

3 league cup 1 assist. missed final.


so by minutes played bobby has done nearly as well as the sainted minime. 11 goals and 5 assists over 1791 minutes of time or bascially 1 goal ever 2 games if you want to play the minutes game.

IMo this is about fitness not pace or contributions etc.

He's not been fit for a litany of issues. Hamstring, corona, thigh injury, foot, groin.

 

Years of unrelenting high intensity is finally catching up with him.

 

such a shame that the end is nigh for a trio that produced so many moments of beautiful interplay with true purpose .

 

Lovren was popular in ther dressing room too

 

Yeah. Firmino was the linchpin of that trio when they were collectively at their best. Consistency is his problem now. Tbh it always was a factor but it's become so obvious lately. He was brilliant against Southampton, but iffy against Wolves.
Nobody else we have plays his part nearly as effectively. Although Mané is making a fist at it, it isn't the same.

 

it was the quick passing / flicks between them as a group that we no longer see but all good things end .

 

Nobody else in world football does it as well as he did

Apparently the latest news is that Mane is having a sex change and will be transferring to Liverpool women's team next season.

Joking aside...

Seeing stories that we have had "discussions with Kane", hopefully those discussions were about how he should stay at Spurs and not come to us. Not sure why Kane keeps coming up... Definitely not a Klopp style player, but it would be handy to have someone in the team who can foul opposition players with zero chance of being penalized for it.
