I dont think we are thinking of bringing Wilmott back. Its not uncommon for loan players not allowed to play in the cup I hope they are building him up for next season
Athletic suggests Quina will go out on loan. Pearson wants him to bulk up and gain experience elsewhere.
Joe Bryan from Fulham? https://www.skysports.com/football/...g-fulham-defender-as-injury-crisis-takes-hold
Decent player at Championship level but did he make the step up with Fulham last season? Apparently Pereyra wants out at the end of the season. Probably covering himself for a move if we go down.
Watford’s new manager Nigel Pearson is plotting a move for Bournemouth forward Junior Stanislas. Stanislas, 30, has only just returned to action after eight months out with hamstring and knee problems. The winger is rated at around £4 million - but Bournemouth are reluctant to sell to relegation rivals. You can take this with a pinch of salt as the source is the Express.
NP says no major business planned https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...s-watford-unlikely-make-significant-signings/
I think we'll sign at least one defender, we've precious little strength in depth. Pearson will be a cagey customer. One thing for sure: if this run continues our best signing will be to keep NP and his team for next season.
Watford will complete the signing of forward Ignacio Pussetto from Udinese in the next 48 hours, The Athletic can exclusively reveal. The Argentine winger will become the club’s first signing of the January transfer window and it’s understood he’ll join for a fee in the region of £15 million and sign a five-year deal. Watford’s hierarchy watched the 3-0 victory from the directors’ box at Bournemouth and then made their way back to Hertfordshire to conclude talks with the player’s representative. Pussetto, meanwhile, came on as substitute after 62 minutes in Udinese’s 3-0 victory over Sassuolo on Sunday. It’s expected that he will fly to London tomorrow and, subject to the final contractual details being concluded, have a medical before being able to join up with his new team-mates this week.
I think NG keeping the under 23 staff included in the 1st team coaching could be an indication of the long term future but would be good to keep NG and CS for the next season or two
