Kristian Pedersen? - dont know much about him TBF https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...late-move-birmingham-citys-kristian-pedersen/
Another youngster to join ? https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-watford-in-advanced-talks-to-sign-burnley-rising-star/
Get the feeling Pearson would like a new player or two but in public at least isn't going to kick up too much of a fuss. https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/team-news-welbeck-available-everton For now anyway !
He does make the point that he doesn't want players hanging around training who are unlikely to play. It must be difficult to keep them motivated on the off chance they might get on the bench.
True - he is only contracted to the end of the season ofcouse so will only want players he knows fit in etc. Also Pearson is right to point out that Cleverley and Welbeck can improve the squad if they stay fit. The defensive cover seems to be a concern but we don't seem to buy in that area.
For scoring goals we are bottom of the league For creating chances we are top six For conceeding goals we are mid table Our main problem since promotion is not scoring enough goals
Apparently basically this says we have to pay for the play 3 years after he left ! https://www.areanapoli.it/varie/il-...tford-ecco-quanto-risparmiera-adl_358233.html
Excellent, wasn’t it? Superb individual skill. Man City let down by poor discipline. Sterling should’ve been off, the lengths of time for Friend’s VAR decisions was a joke, and he screwed up every major decision. 1) Sterling should have seen red 2) VAR decision took ridiculously long time and occurred two minutes into the next phase of open play 3) penalty should’ve been retaken - keeper off line, which Friend didn’t even check - an integral part of being VAR on penalties 4) Unfortunately keeper brings down Sterling (who I repeat was only on the pitch due to previous terrible VAR decision), but the definite penalty is not given (nor the retake as mentioned above) I could go on, but that’s the main ones. Friend needs to be sacked. He’s shlte as an on-field ref, and if he can’t do VAR, what purpose does he serve?
Seems not - there was fuss in the World Cup about refs being over fussy about that situation so it was scrapped. General issue is a lot of decisions are stlll subjective and so given inconsistently. Now we have 2 or 3 refs having their own view and taking time out of the game rather than just one maybe just making an unfortunate error as he wasn't looking or not in a good position. It only came in because SOME managers and the odd player demanded 100% accuracy from refs which was never going to happen.
At a Shareholders’ Meeting today, Premier League clubs voted to adopt a change to the Summer Transfer Window closing date for season 2020/21. This will move the closing date back to the traditional point at the end of August/early September. The 2020 closing date will therefore be 17:00 BST on 1 September (31 August 2020 being a UK Bank Holiday).
Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a summer move for Watford's Ben Foster. The 36-year-old England goalkeeper is out of contract at Vicarage Road this summer. Source: Sun newspaper.
That's worrying...thought we would have tied him in for another year at least - anyone know if we have an option at the end of his contract?
