Perhaps you should recall Wfc against Leicester when Vydra scored the best goal I have ever seen (the first). Overshadowed by TD9’s winner, but Vydra scored 2 that day.
I could, but I can't help remembering that prior to that game he had neither scored nor played particularly well for 13 matches. Had he scored those two during that spell, it's highly likely that we wouldn't have been playing against Leicester that day - Hull would have been, and we would have been promoted by finishing second.
One for the Under 18s/23 squad ? https://the72.co.uk/233349/sources-...manchester-city-having-watford-medical-today/
The joys of being a striker eh.... I remember the season Doris Henderson missed two penalites in the run in that would also have secured us four more points and automatic promotion. On his day Vydra was brilliant.... he had a lot of off performances too...... We need perhaps a Mo Johnston
Think it was this season - he missed 2 against Stoke and Bristol City which could have made a difference but in the end we were lucky to get into the play-offs! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007–08_Football_League_Championship
Yes very fine margins eh... when you think how poor some of the strikers have been in this division that has really helped us.......
Let's hope Toney's recent poor run continues on Saturday - one goal in his last seven games, and he has started missing quite a few chances of the type that he probably would have easily tucked away earlier in the season. I think I'd be right in saying that we won't encounter too many poor strikers next season so we really need to find a decent one of our own. Lord only knows where from though...
Watford are hoping to tie up a £5million move for Ike Ugbo, according to The Athletic. The Chelsea striker is facing an uncertain future as speculation builds around his prospects for the new season with opportunities likely to be limited at Stamford Bridge. AllNigeriaSoccer first reported that the Hornets were one of the clubs keen on a move for the player, however that has now progressed with talks underway with the West London club. Ugbo has enjoyed an excellent season this term after scoring 16 goals in 32 appearances during a loan spell with Cercle Brugge.
Agreed.. We will let a few more in next season.. No doubt.. So scoring at the other end is very necessary..
I see the rumours have started. Honestly, I highly doubt we will spend bit at all. THe club probably need to balance the books. That said, I am sure there will be some Pozzo type movements. Udinese might have a part to play as usual too.
So I guess Udinese may benefit from the signings of any South American 'wonderkids' - until they are eligible to play here?
