Barcelona could move for Tottenham Hotspur's French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, 23, next summer. (Fabrizio Romano)
If anything, that makes the quoted price way too high as Liga MX doesn't get big fees, for example PSV signed Hirving Lozano for €8m a few years ago, so with his contract ticking down and the transfer fee ceiling dropping £5m is a more likely fee
If spurs buy him, I hope they do so for the right reasons. Still too early to judge but so far, I haven't been impressed.
I think he’s getting better by the minute...needs games. This is his pre season...Sunday was only his 5th game he has started this year. when he finds his form it’s going to be fun
IF ( < Sparta > ) Bale demonstrably *** puts in the performances that covers at least the transfer fee + his wage demands for a permanent contract (ie qualification for the CL next season) , then that would be good business. *** by which I akin to games he played in the 2012-13 season
Yeah agreed, faaaar too early to judge him (or any of the new signings really). The glimpses of quality are there but until he’s fully fit we won’t see the best of what he can bring. Hopefully Wales manage him well enough and give him sufficient game time but not over do it as more minutes should do him some good and ideally return in better shape for the City match. Whether we sign him permanently or not is 50-50 though I reckon. Another year’s loan would probably be best I think.
We should definitely loan him on the same terms again, if possible, then go from there. It would suit us and the player best, so getting that sorted as soon as possible would be the best move.
Call a spade a spade : there is Levying going here towards Madrid. It will come down to how well Bale does this season + what the Madrid bean counter "burn down" spreadsheets are showing for him. If the above + Bale is settled back in the UK (family, happy to still play at PL level etc) then IMHO Madrid will blink first.
Sabitzer’s name has popped up again. He’s a class player, tore us a new one last season. I’d imagine if he went for him it’s definitely bye bye Dele. Romano’s also confirmed previous reports that we’re going to offer Sonny a new deal.
You know, we could do with a new CB, and he ticks both the HG and CG boxes Hope no entitled twats are acting like spawny gets when they see his stats...
James Tarkowski says he won't be signing a new contract with Burnley, and his current contract expires in 2022 So place your bets: who has tapped him up?
FootballDotLondon report that Levy is looking to raise £99.9m for transfers with up to four sales in January While it is safe to assume that Gazzaniga and Rose could be leaving in January, what with the former being dropped from our Europa squad while the latter has been dropped to our U23s, the other names mentioned - Dele and Sanchez - is purely speculation, and on top of that the £99.9m figure is entirely derived from Transfermarkt valuations (£3.6m for Gazzaniga, £9m for Rose, £40.5m for Sanchez, £46.8m for Dele) and not only do those rarely stack up in reality, but if anyone thinks we're getting £9m for Danny Rose they should probably not play the Lottery anytime soon On the other hand, I do think a swap deal that sees Sanchez head to Inter and Skriniar head our way could be a deal that works out for both parties, as Skriniar isn't suited to Conte's 3ATB formation (and hardly the only player at Inter that can be said for...) but Sanchez has the pace to be an asset in that kind of setup, so I'll be taking my cut when Tutto Mercato report this next week
He's from Manchester, so one of them wouldn't surprise me. I can't say that I really blame him, either. He's 27 and he might not get too many more chances to make a big move.
Denmark and former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, 28, says his current situation "is not what I dreamt of". (TV2, via Goal)
Sorry, but that is not "Audere est facere" . Which is why it only took Spurs 4 seasons in the CL to reach the final, regardless of the financial resources that have been to hand.
It took us 18 years to qualify for the Champions League, and a further nine before we reached the final
