I see the mystery of why we didn't go back in for Berahino has been explained, with the suggestion he served a drugs ban last year. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38855561
I got memories of Chris Armstrong getting a 6 month ban in the mid 1990s for smoking spliffs. Might well be wrong but think it happened

Once again we're being linked with Max Meyer, which begs the obvious question: has it been six weeks already? While it's worth bringing up that Meyer himself has said we bid for him last summer, it's worth pointing out that the myriad of Bundesliga clubs having uncharacteristically poor seasons offers us more than a few options: Wolsfberg, Werder Bremen and A German Team are all in a relegation fight at the moment, Schalke and Leverkusen are mid-table, while Hamburg already look doomed...although I get the feeling that if our summer business involves us bringing back Holtby, people might be more than a little disappointed.
Hamburg have a good selection of prospects who didn't fulfill their potential, as they also have Albin Ekdal in their squad. The only surprise is that Kenny McEvoy didn't get offered a contract.
It's nice to see Robbie Keane finally get a chance to play for his bestest ever favourite team from his childhood - Al Ahlli of the UAE. He's probably doing it for minimum wage. What a guy.
Totally. I loved the bloke for what he did in the pre-Jol years. Then he shat in the lobby [figuratively, of course.] Now.....meh, he was alright.
The Times report that we made a late bid for Mahrez in January. Would've been worth it to see their ****ehawk lurkers on our board throw the mother of all tantrums...
Did you know they are so his boyhood club he used to do his hair parting as a kid so it pointed towards their stadium (Al Ahlli al akbar !!! ) .
Apparently, we have signed a ****-hot young Irish prospect from Belvedere, Troy Parrott, a 15 year old striker, who was wanted by Chelsea, also, amongst others "Who's a clever boy then?" please log in to view this image
From the BBC Gossip Column: Hugo could become Real's top target if they can't prize Courtois from Chelsea.
Or De Gea from Man Utd. If I were Bernd Leno, I would be very upset that no club has ever attempted to tap me up via the press...
