You really need to look into this Not sure on the Lukaku deal, not heard that his contract said Everton would pay his agent but haven't heard what the agent fee was either.
IMHO the Walker transfer shows that if you do as Levy wishes, things go fast. But any hint of unsettling by the buyer, c**t behaviour by the player etc, then you are in the territory that Fergie called more painful than his hip surgery.
I can't see Donna runner wanting to play back up to Romero, he is trying to make his place in the world.
Of course it would, we have bought a CB that was supposed to be better but turned out so far worse (not equal) can't think of anyone we have bought that is equal to who we already had.
Well there's signing Sanchez for the sole purpose of someone else not signing Sanchez, which has unbalanced your midfield with obvious chopping and changing to accommodate him like a Football Manager noob, as well as bringing in Lukaku when you already had plenty of decent ballboys on your books.
Sky Sports reporting AS' story that RM are going for Lewandowski not Harry Kane... Real opted for the Poland international after deciding Tottenham striker Harry Kane’s introverted personality would make it hard for him to adapt to life at the Bernabeu. Yes that old, introverted personality disorder...he's said he ain't leaving...getting Levy'd...about £200m extra in transfer fees....but mainly the...err....introverted personality 'thingy'.
As long as they leave us alone for 3 or 4 years, I don't care what the reason. I'm just desperate to see where this team can go. Glory or failure, it'll be a great ride whichever.
Judging by the reports from the continent, the big guns are far more interested in Saltypool - Barca already helped themselves to Coutinho, Los Ladrones are looking at Salah, and Bayern are looking at Firmino. It's a shame that Los Ladrones aren't coming back every year to nick one or two of their players just to hammer home the irony of it...
MALCOM WATCH Having previously said he dreams of playing for approximately eight different clubs (all in one interview), he appears to have narrowed his focus to Bayern. He'll link up well with Firmino...
Whispers that the club tabled a final contract offer of 120k to Toby last month but he is asking for 170k. The whisperers understand that we won't be offering a penny more and the understanding is therefore take it (the contract) or leave it (the club).
IF £170k is true then that's ridiculous. I'd understand £120k maybe even up to £150k at an absolute push if it truly meant keeping him happy but at £170k that's on parity with the likes of Sergio Ramos and more than what Otamendi and Kompany earn. I'd hate to see him leave but if he's that sort of mercenary then so be it.
Which makes you wonder why he thinks he can get that much, assuming that it's true. Another Walker situation?
As we say it all depends on if it's true or not but if it is, I think he either values himself much higher than what he is (he's excellent, don't get me wrong, but the likes of Kompany/ Ramos got their wage through winning trophies) OR he's deliberately pricing himself out of Spurs because he doesn't believe we can match his ambitions (Walker-esque situation like you mentioned) and so he may well accept £120k at say PSG/ Barca/ Real because knows he's more or less guaranteed trophies as well as a decent pay rise.
Or he's been tapped up and that explains why contract negotiations are basically going nowhere and why he's not playing. The alternative is that it's been reported wrongly and he's just trying to get a good deal and isn't fit enough to start for us. We may get a better idea when Belgium play their first friendly.
