Not sure where to put this, as no longer in our division, but: please log in to view this image @BrentfordFC BREAKING | Brentford have today parted company with Head Coach Marinus Dijkhuizen and assistant Roy Hendriksen Mark Warburton must be choking on his Scot's porridge oats! I mean, he got the unfashionable club into the championship play offs last term
Yes, that's a strange set up there. I'm sure MB will be back in work again soon, when another championship side decides to sack their manager.
MB? If you're referring to Warburton I think you'll find he's doing very nicely already, having won eight out of eight - scoring 28 goals in the process - to dominate the Scottish Championship with Rangers.
Think something must've gone on behind the scenes at Brentford rather than it being down to results, half their squad is injured, not the managers fault on that front
Something went wrong toward the end of last season when they decided to get rid of a manager who had them over achieving. I wish the club well, but not the owners.
Yes, the owners decided that they wanted to try a new type of management and MB wouldn't 'buy into it', so he knew he would be leaving the club at the end of last season. Don't know what has happened to them this season.
Mark Warburton - just seen he is now Glasgow Rangers manager!!!!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Warburton
Brentford are using some sort of sports science centred approach. They also are going down the "Director of Football" route that has been known to work in Europe. MW left because the board said he would have very little say in the players that were going to brought in.
Good luck to Warburton. He was treated ridiculously at Brentford and deserves a break as another up and coming manager.
Seems that Walters has still not agreed a contract extension at Stoke. Anyone know any decent CBs having similar problems? http://www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=415261
