    Out-of-contract players to leave QPR

Jordan Cousins and Pawel Wszolek are leaving QPR after being told the club will not be taking up options to extend their contracts.

Rangers also have options to extend the contracts of Jake Bidwell and Joel Lynch, whose current deals are about to expire too. Confirmed decisions on their futures are imminent.

Alex Baptiste is also out of contract, as is Angel Rangel, who joined the club on a short-term deal last August before being retained for the rest of the season.

Surprised at both. Surely there would be value is selling these rather than letting them go - or is it a case of we are in it deeper than we realised!
Cousins was a good player at Charlton before he came to us....it would appear that all we have done is play him in his wrong position and decided it doesn't work for us.

Would definately like to see Rangel stay, even as back-up to Furlong, but he may want more playing time that he will probably get. He's keen on doing his coaching badges though, so that may be a route we could use to keep him....

Disappointing that some of these signings didn't work out. First window when I felt the club hard turned a corner - as I recall both Lynch and Cousins were player of the year at their respective clubs the year before they joined us. Bidwell was described as very solid by ever Brentford fan I know.
Yet somehow they just didn't work. I don't think they were bad signings, or that they didn't try.
    Bit of a mystery really.

I thought Bidwell might stay given his Warburton connection from his Brentford days. It's a shame to see Pawel go.

let's hope that the new - if any players that come in freshen the squad up and hopefully enable the club to move up / stabilise for next season.

Really surprised that we are letting a talented 27 year old winger/midfielder leave the club (Pawel) yet we are keeping a 36 year old defender at the back end of his career (Rangel). I like both players by the way, just shocked we are letting Pav leave. Pawel became a fan's favourite for his work rate and effort.

Lynch and Bidwell both started the season fairly well but towards the end of the season, their defending became sloppy and lead to many goals being conceded. Never seen Cousins play more than a handful of decent games so not shocked that he's leaving. Baptiste was ok at defending but his attacking play was very limited.

Pawel was the one I most wanted us to keep, ran and ran, and could play many positions. Rangel has done well getting forward but his defending has been pretty poor. Isn't Hall out of contract too?

I’m looking forward to some fresh faces. I thought the lot who’ve just gone were ok but they contributed to a dismal season so obviously weren’t that great. Onwards and upwards.

Crikey! Start of massive clear out by the looks of things.
It is going to be a very interesting summer.
Very sad to see Pawel go. Always gave 100%.
FFP just bites harder and harder.

I can't believe we've let that many players go when we have no other options in those areas. Most of them I would have liked to replace but to send them packing with no other options seems a bit mad.

Then again, we always do this.

I would have kept Pawel. He can do well when playing regularly in a good team. He's diverse, too.

Cousins has improved but maybe too little too much too late.

We have to hold on to Wells, Cameron and Rangel, imo. I really don't think we'll be able to attract many better players.

I'm just thinking, this could be the start of something really bad... maybe we're having this clearout because there are no more parachute payments and we just need people off the books. I don't know how we're going to have an equal or stronger squad next season. I'd be surprised if we don't have a squad weaker that this past season.

Also, I'm surprised these decisions have been made so soon after Warburton joined... unless he's actually been employed by us for a while, working in the background.
