Personally think its a bad idea spend BIG money on an established keeper.

When you look at it. Most of the best keepers were bought for small amounts before they hit their primes or went to big Clubs.
Its all about paying for potential for keepers. As we have seen many times in the past some keepers just have 2-3 years of excellence then never regain that form.

I think the best option is to buy young talented GK's. Far less financial risk.

Donnarumma is a great shout actually, I hadn’t thought of him until you mentioned it. Milan have FFP issues too don’t they?

First newspaper report linking him to us tonight too.

yea, Milan on the verge of getting chucked out of the europy. He's a giant keeper. Hope he's more Oblak than Fraser forster but he is highly rated and only 19 so really young

Saw you were linked with him today, Bob. Roman must have been reading your comments from yesterday.

Milan allowed to play in Europa now though.

19 years old and already looks great, you could get 15-20 years out of him

(imagine what a keeper of his calibre will cost in 20 years time <yikes>)

Super Jack’s already a yid in his heart. We’re supposedly close to finalising it now, although that’s pretty much been the case for two or so weeks so we’ll probably announce it on deadline day.

Yeah Donna does look a real talent, Italy’s heir to GiGi. Here’s hoping he sees some sense though and stays in Milan for a while ;)

Looks like Barcelona are after Malcom now from Bordeaux so I’m assuming they’ve given up on Willian. Quite a big statement from us if we manage to keep hold of him.

Unless he goes to United but with us wanting Martial a part ex could work in our favour imo.

to be honest, i think we should sell willian for the 70m and get a (decent) replacement in. He's 29, not getting any younger and he's too similar to hazard imo.

Either or really and we know Willian has had enough of sitting on the bench. He has been a great servant though.

For 70m, i reckon we could get someone like draxler or pulisic. Could have snagged mahrez.

If we are keeping Hazard then we should flog Willian, if we are getting bids of £70m and the like, I agree.
The fact that we are rejecting these bids tells me that our board are not confident of keeping Hazard, and Willian is his direct replacement.
Whatever happens, if we do flog Willian, it cannot be to United.....for any amount of money.

i wouldnt be opposed to swapping willian for martial in all honesty.

Could even chuck Martial as the CF that we haven't had

We wanted 70 but they wouldn’t go as high as that, I think....55m was enough for me though, 29 already and relies on his pace a lot so ain’t got too long left. Would definitely try and get Martial in return if United actually want him.

I gotta be honest. I dont really get Willian.

I mean he's a good player but he's really nothing special. He's the kind of WF that will get you 10-13 goals a Season max.
If he played for Arsenal he would get called over-rated. I personally would not be happy if we signed him at Arsenal and have NO idea why teams would be willing to pay 50-70 million for a 29 year old player with that kind of output.

Neither do I, which is why I am saying we should sell him if we get an offer like that. :)

He is a decent enough player, but I think we have gotten the best of him, and Hazard plays the same position and is better and younger, so why would we keep him?
Of course if Hazard is leaving, that changes things......

Why have Green when you could have had Hart? That's a strange transfer.

Not sure Hart would move to us and be a backup/3rd string keeper plus we'd probably have to pay more cash and pay more wages.
