Brizzle City still after Watkins, it seems. Let some form of deal be done, he's been largely anonymous here. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/bristol-city-land-norwch-city-1479974
Very likely to leave: Watkins, Tettey, Maddison & Hoolahan. Can’t see Wildshut, Naismith or Martin returning. With money down to peanuts can’t see where a decent striker is coming from unless we start to use younger talent in the U23 or out on loan.
Oh, forgot Gunn, Reed? likely to leave. Is Leitner on loan? Franke might return but with Riggot et al still around seems more unlikely than likely. Speculation might suggest that Josh Murphy and Oliveria could also be going. The revolving door at Carrow Road continues to keep us guessing.
Maddison and Murphy are possible leavers, but we won't know until actual bids are made. I don't see Hanley or Lewis leaving, but Wes and Tettey are certainly other possibles. I hope DF can convince Leitner to sign on and he says he'd like Reed to be here next year. Gunn would also be great, if unlikely. It'll be interesting to see how it all works out.
So the latest rumour is that JM is off to Anfield - https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...ich-City-James-Maddison-Fulham-Ryan-Sessegnon. It will probably be a TOTALLY different club tomorrow!!!!
So, Naismith wants his future resolved - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/canaries-naismith-future-resolved-1-5486654. Simples - agree to accept £500K and go off to play for Hearts!!! #youwontbenissed An excerpt from the Scottish Sun article - I can't believe Levin is talking about the same player - "Naismith has been a big influence on the younger players in Levin’s squad. “He has brought exactly what I thought he would. He is a hard-working, honest player who is full of endeavour,” said Levin, speaking to the Scottish Sun. “And he brings a willingness to be almost charitable with all the knowledge he has stored in his head. “He just shares that with everybody, which is great for me. “We have a lot of young players who tap into that and he shares without even thinking of that. “He is a winner. He just wants to win matches and that will be what has hurt him most about not playing." ????????
Anyone for Toni Leistner, ? ( and Moritz Leitner please). On a free, Leistner would be excellent business, we could send Raggett out on loan to, maybe a league one outfit. Then it is a big scouring of the planet for a striker that can hit the target.
But if you scour the world you may only scratch the surface of each market. Far better for a club of our size to try to know 3-4 markets in greater depth where there are generally high coaching standards but better value and try to pick out the rough diamonds. No way we can sustain a detailed world scouting view. Bah!
If they take him for money, that will be amazing business. I'm guessing he will go there on a free. "undisclosed" of course.
A fee of £1m was being talked about, so see what happens. Agree with Leistner on a free being great business if it happens. The new striker will be the key to next season though.
Tongue in cheek reference to "scouring Europe" comment a few years ago when looking for a new manager.
Doh! I just assumed that you thought we couldn't afford any one good from a developed and high standard league, so we would be hunting around the Mongolian 2nd division for a diamond in the rough. Bah!
But you are right GM. Unless big money comes in from player sales, we're more likely to be looking around the lower leagues in Europe rather than pay big money for League One players.
New signing - but don't get too excited. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...ld-town-midfielder-saul-milovanovic-1-5494121
