**** Michael Laudrup simple this post is meant for people to give their thanks to Garry monk who has been a great servant to the club from start to finish. I feel that this has been down to the players more then monk and they need to take a very long and very hard look at themselves also for their commitment on the field.

Anyway thank you very much Garry for your work over the years totally proffessional and I hope you prove all the doubters wrong.

Garry Monk has been a tremendous servant for this Club as player, skipper and Manager.

His block at Wembley was pivotal - if that had gone in, Reading would have won probably.

Once appointed as Manager, a "sad" parting of the ways was pretty inevitable ........

    Thanks Garry!<cheers>

It's a shame an experienced manager wasn't appointed originally and GM start as the assistant. Learning on the job in the Prem was always going to be difficult and he isn't up to it at the moment, whether tactically and/or man-management wise.

I just hope being sacked hasn't soured his relationship and view of Swansea as a club. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on in his next job and I wish him well <ok>

I understand that Monk wasn't allowed to leave The Liberty via the front door. Whilst he was inside being given his marching orders,a member of staff removed his car from the front of the Stadium, and drove it around the back. Monk duly left via the back door. Not a very nice way to treat him,but nothing surprises me anymore.

All sounds a bit cloak and dagger. Not sure why (if true) they'd want to treat him like that. If a member of staff drove his car though then that would mean Monk willingly gave that person his keys.

I heard it via a BBC Wales interview. Some guy interviewing Rob Phillips.
Presumably Monk would have given the keys, but perhaps he had no choice.

Thanks for the clarification. Avoiding any cameras was beneficial to all I guess.

A more acceptable scenario, but merely putting off the inevitable. It's all about cameras nowadays.

Some great memories in the video clip which no one can take from him. Fantastic servant over a long period of time. Wish him the best for the future.

Monk didn't want come out through the main entrance due to the media circus. They have been all over Swansea waiting for him, and even today they took photo's of him down the Marina getting out of his car.............<ok>
