Wycombe Wanderers Trust are pleased to announce that the required threshold to approve the purchase of a majority share in the club by Feliciana EFL Ltd – which is controlled by Rob Couhig - has now been reached. https://t.co/VcO5nqLa3P
This could be one hell of a ride under the Couhigs it's brilliant news, even better that they will not own Adams Park.
You are right Mowgli most of the trouble football clubs have are when they don't own the ground. Good news, also the thing is with putting money you can not put too much money in or you could end up getting a pts deduction
Dear Trust Member, I hope that this update finds you and yours well and coping with the stay at home and social isolation measures we are all living with. Hopefully you will have seen the latest message from Rob Couhig, which highlights the measures the Club is taking to get through this current tricky period. I think we are all glad that we now have an owner who is committed to the Club for the long term. The Trust has established a regular communication channel with the Couhigs and I will be having monthly meetings with them, when things are back to normal. We also have our two Trust Directors, Trevor Stroud and David Cook on the WWFC board, who keep us up to date. Rob and Pete are very happy to continue to provide the FC financial performance to the Trust, which will keep us fully informed. We recently held a Trust Board meeting by video conference and I have attached the minutes for your information on the link, Board Minutes, below. If you have any queries on these please let me know. The Board is considering changing the name of the Wycombe Wanderers Trust and we would like to ask for your opinion on whether to do this or not. This is because, following the sale of 75% of the Club to Feliciana, the role of the Trust is changing. While we still have a considerable say in WWFC matters, there is now a greater emphasis on fundraising in order to maintain our 25% share and therefore our influence on the way the Club is run. It has been suggested that a change in name to Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust might better reflect our new role, help increase our membership and encourage people to help in future fundraising efforts. However, it is also true to say that the existing name has acquired a considerable cachet and brand reputation at Adams Park and beyond, in the local community. As the Trust is your Trust, we would very much appreciate your opinion on whether we should make the change or stay as we are. Once we have the opinion of Trust members, the Board will make the final decision. The survey will be conducted via surveymonkey.com. Please click on the link, WWT Survey, below to take part.. Please can you complete this by 13th April. We are also creating a new website for the Trust, in order to modernise it, make it more user friendly and relevant to Trust members. It is currently out of use while we make the changes. We hope to have the new site up and running soon. Finally keep safe and the Trust look forward to seeing you all back at Adams Park once this is all over. Nigel Nigel Kingston Trust Chairman
