What ****ty stats can we say about this current Saints side? I'll start with these three: - Both Leicester and Chelsea have won as many league games at St Marys (more?) in the past 12 months. - Only Saints & Bournemouth have lost a league game at St Marys in 2018. - We're currently on a run of 5 wins in 40 games, so a win every 8 games. Any more?
Mathematically speaking, there is more chance of me getting hit by a bit of falling space debris, than of witnessing Saints pick up three points this season.
I might have posted this before. Southampton players have scored 6 Premier League goals and 4 La Liga goals this season.
4 years and 3 days ago we beat Sunderland 8-0 at St Marys in a Premier League match. We've only scored 8 PL goals at St Marys from the 31st January this year until the current day.
It's got to have been longer than that, because Ron was the manager for that game. Two years ago was the Puel season. Plus 2 years and 1 day ago, we were playing at the San Siro. (That's arguably an even bigger fall from grace, when compared to today.)
