That's why I said who play rather than who played Pretty sure a team wearing yellow would have won it since.
James one free-kick from LeTiss all time saints prem record of seven. Danny Ings joins Long on 6th all time prem goals table (27).
Said to a mate earlier today, I would take a 2-2 if Ings scored and James got a fee kick. I'm really made up with that today. Lovely.
The win against Norwich was our 250th premier league win. Our next 3 points are significant too. In the all time premier league points total table, we are currently 12th, but are just 2 points behind Blackburn. Another 3 points and we are 11th in the all time premier league table. Not a bad feat. There is breathing space behind us with Leeds in 13th and 276 pts behind. To get into the top 10 we need to overhaul west ham but they are 160 pts ahead. Relegation would help. Shows how consistent we have been over the last 28 years.
Heh, we have played more than 100 more PL games than Blackburn! We actually have a very firm grip on 11th in games played: next team above us is Man City, and after Blackburn (-108 games and counting) you get to Sunderland, with a full 200 fewer PL games when the season ends.
Here is that all-time table. Only the top 6 have been ever-present in the PL, and 2 of those clubs have never won the PL title. https://www.myfootballfacts.com/pre...premier-league/all-time-premier-league-table/
How many years have we been in the top flight now? How do we rank in terms of teams who have been in the league the same length of time or longer?
11th in games played, 12th in points. 16th in points per match among teams with 200+ PL games. 11th out of 11 in points per match among teams with 800+ PL games.
We are the 11th longest serving team in PL history with 21 seasons, so being 12th overall isn’t great
I edited it! Still working on my first cup of tea, so sometimes numbers don't work good. But if you want truly ****ty all-time stats, you want Sunderland. We have a -164 goal differential in 804 matches. That's not great. Sunderland has a goal differential of -292 in 608 matches, and are barely scraping above the point per match rate all-time.
Yeah but weve also been crap for 19 of those 21 seasons We probably are punching above our weight in terms of money spent over those seasons?
Another way of looking at it is that we have survived longer in the top flight of the PL era longer than traditional historically successful clubs like Leeds, Forest, Derby, WBA, Wolves, Leicester, Sheff Weds, Sunderland and Portsmouth. Staying in the PL for as long as we have is success for us. If you look at the clubs above us it would be a great achievement if we were above any except maybe Newcastle and West Ham.
We have gained 11 points from 6 games since the restart. If we had accumulated points at that rate since the start of the season we would be on 64 points in 3rd place.
