Jarvis seems to be playing well, and Chadwick is scoring for Boston regularly, he scored again last night in their 1-1 draw away at Southport. It will be interesting to see who is kept on at the end of the season. I see Jevon Mills has extended his loan until the end of the season at Solihull Moors also, though he was on the bench last night in their 3-1 win against Scunny, who looked doomed now to go down again.
Chadwick won’t be staying. I doubt Jarvis will either but then they have Jacob a contract so who knows. Billy and Will have the ability to improve, but they haven’t proved it at a decent level yet and I just think for the sake of their careers they’ll opt to move elsewhere.
Not a cat in hell's chance Billy Chadwick will be kept on. He's now 23!! Unfortunately hasn't made the step up. Pity. Will Jarvis, still only 20, at least has a chance.
I think you are probably right, I guess he may well stay at Boston, but I guess we will have to wait and see.
I am sure you are right, when I said it will be interesting to see who remains, I was more meaning generally not necessarily those 2.
I saw a bit of the Peterborough U21 game, Jarvis looked a step up from everyone else with the ball, but pretty hopeless without it. Didn't work hard, didn't track back, lost players when defending. Depends how much potential Rosenior sees, but Jarvis has been in the club for long enough so I imagine they've tried to improve that side of his game and failed (unless what I saw was a rare one-off and he's normally better defensively).
I'm not sure many of the current final year pros will be here next season. A couple have had offers from further down the leagues, others are looking at going part time. There seems to be genuine excitement about the next lot of youngsters coming through (the current U18s, with Rocco Coyle, Stan Ashbee, Glen Sani et al). I use Greaves as a yard stick; he went out on loan to League Two and did really well. Since then, we've had Robson and Cartwright go out on loan to the league, I imagine Robson will be gone as Cartwright has another year I think.
It looks like a bit of a plan, pick up U18's and then develop them. Not a bad idea, at least 2 or 3 might make the grade at minimal expense. With Shelbourne looking possible, then somewhere for them to develop.
