Who are the under21 strikers mate? Surely we should have one of them on the Bench for the first team and give him a go
I thought the exact same thing pal. We have Jim Simms, Josh Hinds and Will Jarvis (though he is more of a winger) in the stiffs. In the U18s we have Glen Sani, Jaeyden "Chib" Chibanga, Ronnie Kelly and Ralph Nkomba. Simms was the obvious choice there, we didn't need Simons, Docherty, Woods, Tufan and Vaughan on the bench. How would that have helped tactically? Well, turns out, it ****ing didn't. I don't usually get annoyed at City results, but a win today would have almost certainly seen us safe and released a huge amount of pressure on everybody. As it is, we've probably got one of the toughest run ins of any bottom ten team and clubs below us have started picking up points. I reckon we're fine, there's far worse than us down there (Exhibit A played against us today), but we've got to shake off this malaise we're in. One win in nine is not good enough in any league. Rosie is the man for me, clearly the man for Acun/Tan, but he's not going to win any new fans over with us playing like it's pre season. Injuries have been a piss take, but this was my point in January, the League One players just don't look up to it. Longman looked miles off today, Alfie Jones still doesn't fill me with confidence (though he seems to do really well and then not well) and as soon as Slater drops back he looks lost. If our goal is the playoffs or higher next season, then I think LR needs to be a bit more brutal in his assessments of our players in terms of who can progress to the next level and who has reached their limit.
Pace in behind the defender. Similar to Hernandez, good finisher, quite skilful, quick. Not the tallest so doesn't win too many set pieces. But if he keeps improving, we've got a decent prospect on our hands.
Simms is injured for the rest of the season ST not sure if you’d not heard yet but imagine he would’ve got the nod today had he not been.
I just said Simm's would have been a better option that Longman today up front, didn't realise he was injured.
So Glen Sani is now on the bench for the U23s having played 90 minutes on Saturday. Half of me sees that as him making his way boldly towards the first team Vince McMahon style The other half sees that as the reason why we pick up so many injuries .
They certainly give everyone a game over the season. There was three trialists last game all in the starting eleven, today only two in the squad, one not good enough?
Still insane why Jarvis is playing for the stiffs when he wants to go back to Scarborough and they keep asking for him
Trialist A was Hakeem Sandah, an AM who plays for Huddersfield Town. Came through the youth system at Spurs.
Very good at dribbling, based on his finish in that game, composure in front of goal needs some work. He won a dribbling competition while at Spurs, reminds me of Ebiowei.
