Just in case anyone reading this thread doesn't know what happened tonight.

We drew the match 0-0 but even if we'd won the penalty shoot out we were still out of the competition.

A bit crazy and pointless on this occasion but apparently they have shoot outs to decide all drawn matches in the Papa Johns group stages. You get an extra point for winning on penalties which wouldn't have been enough for us to go through.

However if we had scored a goal and it was a 1-1 draw we would have scored the same number of goals as Tranmere so by winning the shoot out we go through. Yes we ended up in a silly pointless shootout last night as we were going out on goals scored…..

Interesting. Perkins on the bench. No Joseph.

Hints at some changes for Wednesday?

    No Mcgurk either.

Leeds winning 3-2 at the moment.

Southampton winning 3-0 and will close the gap at the top if Leeds can't see this out.

McKinstry assist for Motherwell at the weekend, to ad dto his 2 goal tally. Better than Bambam's stats! :D

Well the scores on the doors are in and obviously Max Dean rates a 10 but Charlie Allen was massive playing at 10 and rating 9. Charlie is still only 18yo but played his 33rd game for the 21s/23s which is awesome. Been here for a couple of years now as a baby and started in the U18s but soon moved up. Cody Drameh rated yet another 8 performance because hes way too good for this league

Orta has picked up some gems for the kids teams. Spending big cash on Drameh, Summerville, Gelhardt and Greenwood all going to make it as pro’s with Championship potential minimum.

Next draft in not so much yet. McGurk starting to shine, but Amari Miller had a poor game today and is still not being consistent. Remember this kid is Jude Bellingham’s best mate, grew up with him, went to Birmingham City with him but seems to be struggling.

Perkins, Gyabi, Gnonto and Joseph all looking really promising

Probably best all round that we cash Drameh in and he can then kick on in the Championship. The economic facts are we can't keep all of them and at some point a final judgement has to be made. However the fee must bear relation to his potential so £5M at least.

Just my view based on seeing him play both for us and Cardiff, if it turns out we've let a good player go them make sure we have a sell on clause.

For me he should be back up for Kristensen next season not Ayling. Drameh if sold will go to a prem club, no doubt. He’s at least as good as Ryan Sessignon. Time we started clearing out some of the older heros next season

Perhaps sentiment towards the old guard has gone on too long.

When Ayling came on at the weekend it was exactly what we needed, he slotted in on the right side of a back 3 which allowed Kristensen to go and finally get tight on Tavernier (Bournemouth right winger). Watching him direct Rasmus where to be, so he had bugger all to do was class and the daft thing is if we'd played like that all match we wouldn't have conceded 3 goals.

Ok it was just for the last 10 minutes on this occasion, but it also worked equally as well against Villa when we were down to 10 men.

Do we really want to jettison that know how and experience out of the club ?

Surely being Jude Bellingham's best mate isn't enough for him to be considered as potentially great? It's not like the rest of the Birmingham youth team have taken the leagues by storm to my (limited) knowledge?

No not meant to come accross that way. Both went through primary school, middle school, boys clubs as being the best kids in Birmingham, j then both snapped up by BCFC and progressed together through the academy both playing way above their age groups. Since coming to Leeds Amari seems to have stood still?
