@LUFC U23s 0 @HullCity U23s 2 - Second half goals from Johan Ter Horst and Will Annan secure all three points for the Tigers. The U18's beat Leeds 2-0 on Saturday as well.
Good win for the U23's always good to beat TWS at any level. Jonny Edwards started for Accrington Saturday in their 2-1 win over Luton, played OK by all accounts and was subbed around 60 minutes. Harvey Rodgers was an used sub. Max Clark should be playing tonight for Cambridge against TWS, I will certainly be watch if it is on.
FT 1-1. After watching us put one over on Bournemouth I stayed to watch the U23's. I have to admit I missed the sending off when Maslen-Jones challenge gave away a penalty, which he was red carded for, which the Blunts score from, as my Grandson and his friend who were with me wanted to see Abel get his MOTM award, and get a selfie with him, which they duly did. So I started to watch the game after 10 minutes with the U23's 0-1 down, and it is fair to say that they came back well and were the better side for the remainder of the half, even though down to 10 men when Maslen-Jones was sent off. U23's started the 2nd half on the front foot looking for the equaliser and it duly came on 49 minutes where Johan Ter Horst latch onto a good through ball and produced a composed finish. 1-1. For the remained of the half we were pushed back with the Blunts having the extra man, but we held out reasonably comfortably for the 1-1 draw, which after going down to 10 men was a good performance. I thought Ter Holst had a very good game, he is very quick and his pace troubled the Blunts. Batty, Annan and Olley also had good games.
He was there for the whole game also, credit to him. If he was thinking of jumping ship would he have been there????
