I just feel like fans forget there's another team on the pitch especially when it's a Brighton or a Brentford for example. There were times in this game I said this lot are ****ing brilliant- they even knew when to go down and stop the game. I think Brighton at home and with more years of having the same coaching just played football and had more energy left second half. It's a very good away point and some weren't quite on it.
Good away point and another clean sheet - didn't see the game but sounds as though we weren't at our best but still managed to see off a good team and Nick (Pope) a point. Saw the highlights and Wilsons goal should have stood but the ref blew early instead of letting VAR check... bit baffling when you consider: Surely we must write a complaint about that - the ref's so far this season have had a mare and we are only 19 games in! As long as I can remember our defense has been the major issue and now we are the only team along with City to have yet to conceded a goal so far. If you offered me a point and a clean sheet vs City right now I'd snatch your hand off.
This might go down like a lead balloon but I agree with you Trips was caught out and he can quite often be because he is trying to orchestrate an attacking move. He’s a brilliant player so I won’t skate him but he has been at fault for some goals as much as any player. But overall he is class.
It was mate. Brighton are a very good efficient team and will finish top ten this season. They actually miss a class striker. If they had one they would be lethal.
And I think we can. I honestly think we can possibly get a result against them with our energy in midfield but it would be a monumental effort. It’s a free hit really.
I'm confident we can stop Firmino (get the samba twin midfield to remind him where his loyalties should lie) The other 2 may be a bit tricky ..
