FA Cup, third round, live on terrestrial TV. What's not to like? Well, McFred are back, so there's that, but at least it isn't 4 2 2 2 2 2. Wish it was a 4 3 3 but we can't have everything I guess. All I can say is, McTominay and Fred must be ****ing dynamite as a pair in training, although who they play against is a mystery. Anyway, be good to go far in the FA Cup, it's a comp worth winning. So, out on pens it is.
It's incredible how much more confident Rashford is looking already. Fck knows why he's been played out of position game after game.
Whoever Lindeloff plays with.. Maguire, Bailly, Varane, he's always the weakest link. He's the reason we look vulnerable in defence.
Yeah, he is. I find it hard to fathom that the likes of Tuanzebe and Mengi wouldn't be deemed a better bet, regardless of age. Plus, where the **** is Jones?
And the problem is that as soon as we start to look vulnerable the confidence of the whole team drops and our performance starts to unravel.
Tuanzebe and Jones should be getting in ahead of Lindeloff. They can't be any worse. But as we've said before, he seems to be giving everyone in the squad a game to see how they perform and then binning them off. That was Jones' one game.
Picked up last five or ten minutes of the half. We at least started to match Villa in the taking wild pot shot stakes, which seem to impress the commentary so much.
Good game. I suppose both sides should've taken their chances. But from United's point of view we should have!
****ed if i know what' s wrong with the defence tonight, it just looks utterly ****e and has been the better part of the team for the last few games (not that that's saying much).
Tbf it's a combination of the two CM's not protecting the defence... and Lindelof who's positional play is ****e. That's the top and bottom of it imo.
I agree but he's expected to break up play and stop the oppo in midfield as well. Otherwise why not just play DVB
