Happy New Year to you all. Let's hope 2021 proves to be a good one for many reasons, not least of which being Manchester United's recent good form! Having done my research yet again... this time on a site I've never heard of, there really is nothing to report So I'm going for this line up... Pogba I think will be rested so McTominay and Fred to return to midfield. Should DVB start this one or play with the two above? Lindelof is still out with a back injury so Bailly to be CB again. I think he in particular has been consistently good in recent games. With Cavani being out I expect Martial will return and hopefully cause Cash some problems. With Rashford playing centrally. And Greenwood on the right. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts James though! Should DVB start this one? Grealish remains Villa's greatest threat and may have Barkley playing next to him as he returns from injury. Mings will be back in defence also. -------------------Henderson AWB--------Bailly---------Maguire--------Shaw --------McTominay-------Fred Greenwood-----Fernandes--------Martial --------------------Rashford Happy New Year Everyone!
Happy New Year - promising line-up, hopefully James will keep Pogba entertained on the bench. Looking forward to this one.
Happy New Year to all here. I think the formation selected by Ole won’t be far off. Grealish will be the danger man so will need some dynamic midfielder to man mark him.
I no longer panic when I see Shaw's name on the team sheet. I think the lad has done well, he's taken himself outside, dropped the pie and given himself a bit of a slap - now he's getting on with it. He's dropped the poncy hair style, worked hard, got himself fit and deserves a place in the side. The jury is out on Martial - he seems a moody ****er, something we can't afford.
Good result. Performance can be improved and chances need to be converted. But you sense the belief is increasing in the team. Too early to talk about titles but let’s “take each match as it comes” and stay in contention.
I told you to be patient mate I thought the performance was good. In the sense it was a hard fought win against a good side who weren't fluking it today - they're capable of going at any team and we didn't buckle when they equalised. That kind of result really has an impact on player confidence I think.
Allow me to eat some humble pie - dare I say Pogba had a half decent game, I even saw him do some defending !! Excellent, hard graft performance, a hard-won, but well-earned win. What a way to start the year - joint top!!
No need to apologise, it's called reverse jinxing mate. I personally would like to thank you. It's a skill Christian hasn't grasped yet
Don’t bank on that happening with these ****s! They’ll only give credit to OGS and the team when the title is mathematically tied up. Most of these ****ing pundits didn’t even put United in contention for the top 4 never mind the title.
We may not win it, but I absolutely believe (based on the progress we've seen and the performance of our rivals over a number of games) that we are the closest title challengers to Livpl. Definitely moreso than City and this isn't post-match overconfidence. I just don't see the quality in the squad or the performance in others which puts them ahead of us.
Zang on the pool board just reminded me of something i have been meaning to say. Well done de Gea, he looks to be getting back to being a good keeper.
I was impressed with Pogba today. I just hope his prick agent keeps his mouth shut during January. Just let the guy get on and play ffs.
Had a good game at both ends of the pitch. Fred fell apart for the last 15 mins, not sure if McT going off had anything to do with it or he just panicked.
Fred is absolute gash at tackling. Every one is a foul. We manage to get away with the resulting free kicks but it makes him a liability and one day it will cost us. It's why I never really warm to him as a player.
