Indeed. Theres going to be some mud slung. Other than the ongoing debate regarding ownership the club seem out of that loop. They were arranging a commercial flight before it was taken out of their hands. Could be a chain of culpability though.
The finger pointing continues. Some of the comments seem more opinion than evidence. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-59039464
Doesn't look good for him, but where does this take us?................. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-59062626
I guess the inquest conclusion in the new year is the next official step apart from Henderson's sentencing. I wonder what are the guidelines for sentencing in such an unusual case?
I can't help feeling that the whole episode is a sickenning and sad metaphor for all that is wrong in the "game". So many immoral amounts of money being generated with so many leeches that have no interest in the game itself attaching themselves to the gravy train. For the life of me, I still don't understand what agents and the like actually bring to the game. I'm all for players being looked after and advised to their benefit but not by these self promoting, greedy b*st*rds. Metaphorically and in this case literally, they are sucking the life out of the game.
Very well said sir! No one wants to see players taken advantage of by clubs, but at the same time, having agents who only really benefit by players moving or getting deals re- negotiated it totally destabilises the game and promotes ridiculous greed. As unlikely as it is, one can only hope that the likes of the McKay's get implicated in all this too and cop for some serious punishment along with Henderson. Cardiff City Football Club may not have covered themselves in glory through all this at times but in a lot of respects we, along with Nantes to a degree have also fallen victim to the murky underworld of the "beautiful game".
Agree Dai. Gary Madine got a similar 18 months jail for injuring a guy in a nightclub fight. No comparison.
I guess they are guided by the maximum term for the offence but he will be out after 9 months. Ridiculous. Manslaughter would have been a more appropriate charge with a much higher guilty tariff.
Again, can't imagine how Sala's remaining family must be feeling. No amount of money can make up for their loss and I really have no idea how the length of Henderson's sentence should be calculated. However, I do think that he should be stripped of all his assets and any money raised sent to try and support the family. My thoughts once more are with them.
More findings. Looks as if carbon monoxide was a factor, as predicted. Inquest ongoing. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-60478292
It's still doing my head in that in a business that generates billions, things were done on the cheap. How can anyone justify being so careless with another human life. Neglect at its worst and as well as posting a life, it must be tormenting the souls of his friends and family. I guess one of the main culprits IE the pilot has already paid the ultimate price for his negligence, but others are equally culpable. Such a tragedy being made infinitely worse as time drags on.
You typed inside the quote brackets. Done it myself. You can edit the post, cut your words inside the quote and paste them outside. Or just leave it.
