Interesting that when Grant came off for Lameiras and Adams re-jigged the formation....we took only 5 minutes to go 2-0 down.....weren't we on top at the time ?......did it really need changing at that moment.....and it seems rather alarming how the fight evaporated from the team.

Watching the live stream, i thought it was only a matter of time before Argyle scored.
Should have been 3-0 at the half.
BUT Accrington scored their goals which was the difference.
Such a shame because Argyle were the better team

Watching it live I would agree with you BC. I will be interested to hear what Adams has to say this time in way of an excuse. He always has one as long as it doesn't imply he did anything wrong. Well today you only have to look at the result and the was the game was going up to the point of them scoring one. We were on top and they were pretty much pressed into their half of the field. The first half was a 50/50 affair where either side could have tken the lead but we had taken the high ground and were pressing. Along comes Adams and decides that he will change things. Now if it ain't broke then why would you try to fix it? Within a minute of his change we went behind. Then from a goal kick at their end we went 2 down. Just for good measure they did the second goal all over again and from another free kick we went 3 down. Nothing to do with linos or referees this week it was down to changing a side that was on top. How we lost that 3 - 0 I will never know. As Notdistant said they were nowhere near 3 goals better than us. Had we lost it 1 - 0 I could have taken that because it was a game that could go either way. To lose by that score in the end is unforgivable and Adams should be appologising to everyone for creating it. My bet is he won't. Get him out of this club now for christ sake before the January window. Do not let him loose with any funds or his godforsaken tactics that are terrible. We need a new man at the helm and I don't care how long he has on his contract. We are heading for league 2 and it is only just halfway in the season. I cannot see how we won't achieve league 2.

I don't know at the end of the match BC. For the first time in a very long time I walked out of the ground with more than 5 minutes to go. I had watched a fairly decent game up to halftime even though it was nil nil. End to end stuff and all that. Then our illustrious manager changed things when we were on top and bolloxed the whole thing up. I stuck it for as long as I could but in the end had to go. Nobody but nobody around me was a happy clapper and quite a few went at the same time my group did. There will not be 10k there for long at this rate. If the club just sits on it's hands and does nothing then a lot of them will not bother. They are lucky this season to have as many season ticket holders as they have because it would be even worse without that. I have read elsewhere that Adams got boo'd at the end. No doubt he will be blaming the supporters again. In his Herald interview I read he said you can't always blame the manager. Well our manager never blames himself. Always but always somebody else but not him.

Mixed reaction Away. Booing at the end, warranted by the result but not the performance, some "Adams Out" shouting and a bigger proportion of die-hards clapping the players off.

I pinched the "not 3 goals worse than them" tag off three lads (20 ish) behind us.

What I will say is that the players looked afraid to walk down the temporary tunnel. David Fox in particular looked ashen faced. That can't be good.

The 10,000 crowd included under 18's for only a quid....might of been more if the opposition had been a bigger club not just a northern village team, with no more than home crowds of 2,000 (100 odd travelled) and no money to buy real players.

Why oh why did he change a line up that was at the time looking like they were getting near scoring.....taking Joel Grant off of all people....and then phow within 5 minutes 2-0 down.

What worries me is the January window....last summer the only successful signing was Ladapo.....how can we be sure that Adams will not bring in more of other clubs cast-offs and injury prone players....he did his summer transfers at the beginning of the window....so he can't say that they were all that was left before the window closed.

Who does his scouting now....seeing he lost his No1 scout to the mighty Salford City.....Adams as already said he has identified those he wants to replace and those he wants to bring in....oh yea, why am I not assured very much about that.

At half-time yesterday we were out of the relegation zone in 20th place....Adams shuffles the pack and we end up 23rd in the weakest position we've been for weeks.

With Bradford starting to play well and even Wimbledon getting an unexpected win at Wycombe....it is becoming harder to find four clubs we can finish above.

......and oh dear who are we playing Boxing day....a game that I have always gone to....so I can meet some of the PASALB lads and have a pre-match drink with,
But there is no way of getting to Wimbledon without driving....seeing that there are no buses or trains running that Bank holiday......in a way at the moment I'm just a little ok about missing this one.....we could end up bottom of the league by tea-time making our end of the year predictions a real joke....and BC winning the points although even his prediction his half a league plus out.

Is Derek Adams unsackable.....the club have put all their eggs into one basket making him responsible for EVERYTHING football at Home Park....he has a long contract that other managers would be jealous of....where are the football brains at PAFC amongst the Directors.....there are far too many of them who have no idea about the game....what do they do to advance the club....answers on the back of a second class stamp please.

Been reading around about Argyle on other boards......and there is a lot suggesting that Adams has literally knocked the stuffing out of his players....when they go behind they cannot see a way back......yesterdays first substitution was what looks like a hammer blow to their confidence....and at 2-0 down they were ready for the final whistle.....take away Ladapo's goals and we're literally toothless and with an error ridden defence there is only one result under Adams that will come about in May.

Put Letheren in goal and retire Sawyer...why he gives away so many corners is unbelievable! As for the rest? Halt the grandstand capers as money needed elsewhere!

Fans' opinions (including mine) are worth diddlysquat.

His first substitution was to bring on Lameiras.

Last week, fans were baying for Adams to be sacked because Lameiras was omitted from the squad. That was certainly because he was going to be sold in the January window. Adams Out.

    Turns out, Lameiras was sick.

Didn't start on Saturday (has been unwell) and comes on for last 30 mins at 0-0.

Lameiras goes on the right and immediately we concede down our left.

    Adams Out.

    Bullshit.

The thing is notdistant, when he did switch it around we were well on top and looking like we would go on to win. He waits until that point which almost everyone in the ground could see and then we instantly go behind. He doesn't change things when he should and changes things when he shouldn't. Poor judgement and the only person responsible for that is him. You can make a case for him sometimes perhaps but not this time. Had he left things alone then I think we may have won it. Only just and it might sound daft on the back of a 3 - 0 stuffing in the end but I genuinely believe that. People have called for Lameiras to come on previously. But you have to take that in context. The context being we were not playing well. This time we were and there were no calls for Lameiras I could hear anywhere. Once again the man shows he is on planet Zog and not this one with his post match comments. Once again it isn't his fault any of it. "You can't always blame the Manager" is the words used. Maybe you can't but this time he has nowhere to hide and you can. Not the players who didn't play badly mostly, not the officials, not the weather, not the supporters...............whose left then? Ethel the tea lady I suppose.

The logical conclusion is that Jephcott, who moved to the left to accommodate Lameiras, was at fault for the first and fatal first goal.

I'm merely pointing out the incononsistence of fan comments.

No one has blamed Lameiras. No one has blamed Jephcott.

    But that was the change.

There is a saying that if it isn't broke then don't fix it and on Saturday it wasn't broke. It's not inconsistent is it when the supporters call for change when we are being run ragged. Don't call for change when we aren't. It's what they are witnessing. People think that Lameiras should be playing and not on the bench. I think that's a reasonable opinion to hold based on the improvement last season when both he and Carey were on the pitch at the same time. He was sick last week so that's a reasonable reason not to play him then or include him in the squad. It wasn't as if the crowd were baying for Lameiras to come on was it?

I think tactically Adams is being exposed for his limits and he is the only one who can't see that. Other managers have sussed him out and he is very much one dimensional. His total arrogance does not allow him to see it isn't right and no matter how many people tell him it isn't he will not see it. I don't care what these football people say about supporters being the ignorant bunch they think they are. A lot of them have been watching football for years and have some understanding of what needs to happen at times. You cannot tell me that the number of people who think Adams fecked up are wrong. I'm not advocating a supporter led tactical system or who plays on the day. I am saying that Adams should at the least admit HE got it wrong when it is blatantly obvious he did.

PS. What are you doing up at this time of night? You must have broken up for the festive period or something.

Adams has worked out a system that works for him.......but he hasn't got a reliable defence to build it on this season....he hasn't got....Matthews, Bradley, Threlkeld or Vyner....they were worth their weight in gold. I was surprised that Bristol C let Vyner move on....he was better I think than we realized at the time.

Maybe Grant was tiring.... we don't know.

The point is that last week there was hell to pay because Lameiras wasn't in the squad, this week there's hell to play when he's brought on in what seems an entirely logical substitution. It's hardly Adams fault if the defence then lets a cross in and doesn't stop 2 headers in the box to concede a goal.

And I'm not having a go at anyone here: the same comments are all over Twitter. The inconsistency suggests Adams is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

No he isn't notdistant. He is damned for being a pig headed ignoramous. It didn't look to me that Grant was tiring being he was still running their fullback ragged. If he was tiring then why was that? He should be fitter and that's down to the trainers as well. Who trains the defence? Somebody must take responsibility for players making the same mistakes over and over again. I can see the errors. You can see the errors. The vast majority of the crowd can see the errors. Why can't he see them and do something about it before and during a game. Saying it was their fault after the event is just daft. If he isn't responsible for changing tactics when it was working fine and training the players etc then why are we paying him at all? Stop defending the man for christ sake and get angry.
