This match will not define our season but it will have a lot of interest for us as game one without Morgan Whittaker despite us having signed 3 players ourselves. Not sure how many of those 3 will play in this game however. Can we win this one and keep the run going of late? 64000$ question. I think anything we get out of the game will be ok in terms of the league but I still think we aren't going to run out of gas just yet despite the hopes and wishes of another club. We can win. One slight worry is the Ref for this game. Apparently he has issue 5 Reds in 13 games. That seems rather a lot unless he had a riot in one match.

Will Wright, Earley or Waine get some time at Bolton....not so sure....maybe Earley on the bench....played regularly for Stevenage in a winning side....2nd in league two.....so match fit for sure.

Unlikely: Ben Waine's been at Argyle for a week but I don't know how much training there's been given that includes the "warm-down" day after the Wycombe game, the MD Dons game plus whatever time off there's been for New Year itself (if any). Wellington Phoenix play as the only NZ team in the otherwise Australian A-League and surprisingly that seems to run on a similar calendar to European football, so he'll have a few games under his belt, but I doubt he'll feature until he's had a week's training at least.

The other two will have hardly met the rest of the squad...

It's going to take time for him to get over the jet lag.

I have been reading some of the Ipswich board and have to say they are so intent on what everyone else is doing player wise they are in danger of imploding before we play them. Some of them are completely paranoid. Instead of worrying about what their club is doing then are more intent on which club has lost this or that player and celebrating it. A phrase comes to mind from the past "CALM DOWN DEAR".

You only have to look at the match stats to sum this game up so far. You sort of have to feel sorry for the travelling section.

Dour would be the word I think. Still, away from home, all to play for.

    0-0...F/T....I'll take that.

Edwards gets a red card...after second yellow in the 90+7th minute.

Not a good game by Argyle.

Alan McAnally of Sky who was covering for them said it was a good advert for League one. All about opinions I guess. Will take 0 - 0. If we do the same to Sheff
Wed and Ipswich that will be 4 points off all of them so far. Note to self.......don't mention the Ref again. 6 Reds in 14 games now.

Good point from a tough away game: I'll take that. Keeps the new unbeaten run going and the new signings have got some game time, although I'm suprised they did.

Was Ennis rested or was he injured or is there something in the fact that Birmingham were interested in him.

Ennis went off because of injury in the last game soi read into it what you will.

Ennis has had a recurring hip (I think) problem for some weeks: not enough to stop him playing but limiting his time on the pitch. It seems they decided with new players available, he could do with a rest.

Good.....there was talk of Birmingham coming in for him....I was fearful that Argyle might be protecting him from anymore injury during this time.
