The biggest question with this game is will it survive the next 3 days and take place at all? Lets assume it will and go from there. Some good news for Argyle is that Conor Grant may well be back for this one. So, what are our prospects. Well I obviously think we can win this one given that Cheltenham are mid table at best and haven't got great form lately. We haven't either but we have been playing a shed load of top sides so maybe have an excuse at least. With the next game in doubt already it would be good to play this one and get 3 points out of it. The Ref for this one seems a bit of a stickler with cards. I think it said 20 games and he has issue 74 yellows and 3 reds in his first season in the EFL. Hope he doesn't get whistle happy and card happy. COYG
After his performance against Charlton (Chris Errington's man of the match), will Jordan Garrick be dropped for Conor Grant? Nice problem to have is all I can say.
Cooper, Grant, Gillesphey, Scarr, Wilson, Edwards, Mayor, Houghton, Camara, Garrick, Agard. Subs Burton, Bolton, Broom, Hardie, Ennis, Randell, Jephcott. Garrick and Agard starting up front together I think for the first time. Strong looking subs bench....Ennis must be nearing full fitness and surely starting soon.
Wonderful goal from Argyle. Ball is won from a Cheltenham corner and passed from one box to the other without pause for Camara to slot home from 8 yards.
Ir was quite a scrappy 1st half on what looks a small, hard & bobbley pitch Argyle playing all the football, Cheltenham relying on long balls. On into the second ....
Cheltenham have made 2 substitutions and having a bit more joy. One striker dropping into to hole which sometimes gives Houghton a problem. Ennis on for Agard. Ennis and Garrick up front. Good luck with that Cheltenham.
As I said, good luck with that. Argyle win the ball in their own half. Ennis does brilliantly to wriggle free tight on our left touchline, accelerates away and finds Camara motoring at top speed through acres of space on the right. Feeds Garrick on the left edge of the box and it's goodnight Vienna low across the keeper into the bottom right corner. 0-2.
Comfortable away win. The back 3 dealt with the Cheltenham bombardment with something to spare. Mike Cooper made just one save that raised his heart rate above rest. Two cracking team goals showed Argyle's class. Three wins and a draw from the last 5 including the Cup win at Rochdale . Tying 3rd with Sunderland. Played two more of course but a point in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Two good goals and an accomplished performance against a team with a reasonable home record. Dead even with Sunderland tied in 3rd place....but played 2 games more.
All I could do today was watch sky news for goals and was chuffed as a Dartmoor Pony on breeding day. My Son in Law and Grandson follow West Ham. Oh well never mind we all can't be winners. Saw goal two which was well taken but will find goal one soon and see that as well.
Although the whole team played well...there was no doubt who was man of the match .....Panutche Camara received 91.2 % of the vote.
By a country mile Plym. He'd still have been Man of the Match if someone else had scored the first goal. Here you are Sensible. First goal made in God's Own Football Factory
