A few years ago you would be looking at this fixture and be thinking we stood little or no chance of getting anything out of it. How the mighty have fallen but then again so did we even when we weren't exactly mighty in the first place. So, what could possibly go wrong this time? Everything or nothing is the answer to the question above. I have a feeling about this one and that our famous away form is about to kick in. Maybe the last away game might be clouding my judgement but I don't put a lot of store in Cup games in comparison to league ones. We can win this and I just think we might. I am away this weekend up in Plym's neck of the woods. Mrs needs her pipe tobacco. I may not find out any results until Sunday morning so will await with baited breath. COYG...............
New stadium(arena) for me. Looking forward to replicating the form from Tuesday and romping home to a nervous 2-1 victory.
From memory, we start as at Bristol City. Wootton, Canavan, Songo'o, Ladapo and Joel Grant all start. Has to be the right decision for me. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Sterile first quarter... but that's the way we like it away from home. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
After a spell of pressure by PAFC, Carey dives into a rash tackle in the box and concedes a penalty. Three penalties conceded in first three league games. This has to stop. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
I think the World Cup has gone to referees' heads. Who even knew penalties could be given for holding in the box before that? Now they are going wild. More professionalism and restraint needed. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Looks like there wasn't any contact as Carey withdrew his legs at the last minute. However, going to go to ground against a player running with the ball in the box is stupid unless you are the last man... which he doesn't look to have been. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
BBC Devon Sport@bbcdevonsport 4m4 minutes ago More FT: Coventry City 1 #PAFC PLYMOUTH ARGYLE 0 - ten man Argyle are beaten in controversial fashion at Coventry City - Darren Drysdale gives the Sky Blues a soft first half penalty, sends off Jamie Ness and then books Ryan Taylor for diving instead of giving a penalty.
Been listening to the match report on GoS......the obvious MoM was definitely Darren Drysdale.... who low and behold was the REFEREE. He seemed to want to be the centre of attention.....and he managed to accomplish that quite easily.
This sounds exactly the same as the start of last season! Down the bottom of the table with players getting sent off. What happens in the summer??
They scored a goal from the penalty spot and Ness got a card or two. The Ref was rubbish apparently. Is that any good because if not it's all I know of the game.
