Given our display on Saturday I know this has no relevance whatsoever but it needed saying nonetheless. IF we had won the game we would have been.............roll on drums...........AWAY FOR THE NEXT ROUND. I am convinced they hide any ball in a bag or drum in a side pocket if it has anything to do with Argyle and ensure it's drawn out second.

Not sure I feel so bad now with this result. I see Grimsby keep on marching on and have now beaten Luton 3 - 0 this evening in their replay. At this rate we will have lost out to the winners.........

It just makes our result no so bad. Bet Southampton are more pee'd off than we were.

What it does is to provide evidence of the damage to the structure of English football being done by excesses in the Premiership. Grimsby haven’t got this far because they’ve found 11 Roys of the Rovers: Premiership and Championship sides simply couldn’t care less about the domestic cups.

Don't agree. There is not a chance that Southampton would not want to progress given the league season they are having. If you at least have something to offer the supporters then life is just a teeny weeny bit easier.

Man U certainly want to do well in the FA Cup.....they were over the moon with their come back against W Ham.......and I would have thought that a Premier minnow like Southampton would be desperate to win against a tidler such as Grimsby just to achieve anything during a failing Premiership campaign that is showing the signs of relegation.
