Do you ever visit Pasoti? There is often advice on there where it is likely to be shown if not on Argyle TV.
Cooper, Sessegnon, Gillesphey, Bolton, Wilson, Edwards, Mayor, Houghton, Randell, Hardie, Ennis. Subs Burton, Scarr, Broom, Garrick, Lewis, Law, Crichlow. No Grant today...But Scarr back on the bench. Bench a little weak because of international call-ups. A win today would see us go third. PS.........One more clean sheet today would equal the clubs record of seven consecutive zeros.
Looking at the stats it is certain that Ipswich have turned up today. According to the bloke on Sky they are well in charge. Think this might be Argyle's bridge too far.
Argyle started well controlling the ball and stifling Ipswich's desire to dominate but eventually it became one way traffic and late on, Ipswich scored. Worryingly, Bolton has had to go off. He's been part of an excellent back 3 unit in recent weeks. Scarr's on the bench but clearly not ready for 3/4 of a very competitive game. We do have a very strong squad but with Galloway out and Scarr not fully match fit, that doesn't extend to what's left of the back 3 group. We've suffered an unfortunate number of injuries in that section of the team but there's nothing that can be done now.
Schumacher seems to have worked the oracle during half time. Much better from Argyle at the start of the second half.
I fear this season is dying today. Ryan Hardie has gone done with what looks like a serious injury, possibly a hamstring.
Watched it live in Malta....looked like a struggling mid table outfit, very poor in midfield couldn't string 2 or 3 passes together....horse ****e as they say!
We were bound to lose one sooner or later and Ipswich have won 4 and drawn 2 in their last 6 home games. All I'm worried about is the injuries. We've potentially lost a 3rd of our 6 CB's and, to a lesser extent, our top scorer. Losing Hardie would be a blow but at least we still have 3 good players for two positions. At CB we could be down to 3 for 3 positions.
If we don't go up, which I think is now highly unlikely, I hope you lot make it out of this division.
Oh and I forgot Conor Grant has been in and out of the 11 on-pitch lately but wasn't even in the squad today. Worrying.
Thinking it won't be our day when the match is half over and the stats aren't good isn't being negative. It's being a realist unlike yourself who takes every opportunity to slag them off in some way or another. And that's before match day arrives. Won't stop you hanging out flags if they managed a promotion though despite the season long manking. Is Tugboat on Pasoti your twin brother? He moaned about today and added that Argyle were obviously very lucky with the 6 game winning streak and clean sheets they didn't deserve apparently.
One plus I would take out of today notdistant is that we obviously didn't play to potential but they still only managed one goal. That isn't all to do with them being poor in front of goal we did have something to do with keeping the score down. As you say hopefully the injuries aren't as bad as we fear. It would be such a pity if the wheels came off due to that.
Going on the commentary, we were a bit over run in the 2nd quarter but better in the second half. On another day we could have come back with a point. The good thing about that is that it looks as though Schumacher can influence a game one way or another. After all, Rotherham took 3 home from Home Park but should have conceded 3 and gone home empty handed. That's football. Bolton apparently got a kick on the ankle, that's all, and Schumacher is optimistic that it's not serious. Hardie at least pulled up and went straight off but it's muscular, which may not be much or may suggest he should get some summer holiday ideas now.
