Well that won't do. From listening to the radio it would be wrong to blame the defence. It has rather been a failure to defend collectively and to play our football.
So it took 4 games for Sheff W to get their homework right. Amazing to think that we played this team three times without them scoring against us. They crushed us totally this time.....our mid-field weren't given a sniff of the ball...and our strikers were played offside everytime....we only scored twice because one was an OG. We brought it back to 3-2 and before you could write the score down they scored again....two goals within 60 seconds.....what sort of defending was that. Wilson and Camara were sorely missed today....it sounded as if two consecutive games for Bolton so soon was a step too far for him.....maybe Crichlow should have come on for a run out. But after all that....we move up a place back into the play-offs.....so other contenders had a bad day as well....Sunderland drew......Rotherham lost at Fleetwood....Oxford lost at Wycombe....Portsmouth lost at home to MK Dons....so not all bad. Home to Lincoln next Saturday.....a chance to redeem ourselves.
Just watched the 10 minute highlights. Not very pretty viewing. I can only go back to what I've said before. We can be good but this is a tough league. In tough games in a tough league, away from home, I do feel we should start more as a 5:3:2 than a 3:5:2. Neither Edwards nor Grant were even in camera shot when they made some of their breaks down the sides.
Or 3:2:3:2 if you prefer but less hung ho anyway. And maybe Broom to start away at Sheffield Wednesday and Mayor at home to Lincoln...
Not sure if you mean negative waves from us the supporters or negative waves from Argyle players and performance hp. If it's the former well you must be used to that by now as Janners are notoriously fickle things and it doesn't take much. If the latter then Argyle have to do the under performing thing now and again at the very least don't they.
