Match Day Thread versus Shrewsbury

I read some comments on another Argyle forum and some people this time were almost dismissing our latest signing. The worst aspect of that is at the time of posting they didn't even know who it was only that one was coming. Why do these people even bother at all when clearly all they want to do is rubbish the Club.

I cannot be negative as some would be so you can write your own words for this one. At least we haven't got Breakspear or Sarginson with a whistle this time.

Okay then......This is looking like a grade A disaster just waiting to happen.......Shrewsbury have played THREE and lost THREE and have yet to score ANY goals.....what on earth could possibly go wrong in this one.

Luckily football doesn't work out like that.....and even Argyle might win this one.....if they don't..... well Shrewsbury had to win sometime....please don't let it be on Saturday.

 

We have Garrick in the squad and George Cooper back. He will travel and is available for selection according to Ryan Lowe. Hopefully they won't be required but if Garrick lives up to his billing, that gives us a lot of extra firepower if we need it in the last 15 minutes.

The performance against Rotherham was poor but otherwise we've looked robust if not quite at full throttle. I'm cautiously optimistic.

 

Wilson now suspended for this one so the spectre of Sarginson lingers on. "He didn't see it at the time". Recognise that one? He's worse than feckin Nelson.

0-1...H/T.....bit of a scramble in defence at times....but Shrewsbury unable to take advantage.

 

The stats look pathetic for Argyle but as normal with football we are winning at halftime. At least we doubled our shot tally before the whistle blew.

Garrick come on.....rather confused seeing that he was in the subs..... then we were told he wasn't ?

Shrewsbury 17 shots and only one on target.....plus 11 corners.

 

HURRAY WE WON TODAY THREE NIL................go on you can do it. No gloom, no doom just rejoice. Go on try it just once.

 

Excellent result notwithstanding Shrewsbury's poor start. Jephcott and Hardie can't stop scoring and why's that?

Becuase the rest of the side are playing well, that's why. The defence are not causing panic and encouraging the other lot. Jordan Houghton is imposing his will on the midfield, Camara and especially Broom are mobile and energetic. Edwards and Grant are the perennial Steady Eddie's.

 

Ooh I don't know....were we good or were they as bad as their league position suggested......(calm down....I'm only joking)......Shrewsbury are a little unlucky having played three teams before us who are all doing well.
