Banana skin alert!! Banana skin alert!!!

So we now go from playing one of the top teams away and winning to playing the bottom team at home. Are Argyle going to stick to normal protocol and give Stevenage a kick start to their season or are they going to go on one of those runs throughout Christmas and New Year that often eludes then? Those amongst us who have followed the Green path for a considerable time know only too well what the above means.

Personally, having sown the seeds of doubt, am going to go for the latter option and say we will be undefeated for the period in question and we will have moved into the play off zone before New Year. Every thing points to Argyle winning this and doing so comfortably. If only life and football were truly that predictable. You can do it boys..............

So we win the hard ones and struggle against easier opposition.

This should be a home banker.....but the more I read about Stevenage the more I get nervous.....bottom of the league....but they don't lose too often.

Draw specialists it seems....12 games so far.....reasonable defence...but a poor attack.....as sensible has already said....banana skin territory....the slippy version.

We need to dominate from the start...and wait for it....SCORE early and move on from there....if things go right we could be in a play-off position tonight which would be great before the Swindon match...stopping their gloating manager Graham Westley would be a happy way to see the old year out.

2-1...F/T....how hard can we make it.....19 shots at goal...12 missed the barn door......13 corners to nil.....we need a striker to put these chances away.....Stevenage should never of got to the 96th minute before we beat them.....well done Canavan.

It was an OG not his. No way he could claim it. Argyle made this so so hard for themselves. This was almost another Bristol Rovers game. How on earth we don't score sometimes is beyond belief. It is harder for the ball not to go in yet it bounces off something and simply does miss. Stevenage are absolutely terrible. Why they bother with a midfield I just don't know because all their defenders do is hoof it as far as possible. All they need is 6 at the back and 4 upfront. They spoil, time waste and all the other things Wycombe were accused of previously. When they scored you just somehow knew they were going to. Mackhail-Smith plays for them. He is still one hell of a threat and why he has gone to Stevenage I don't know. I would have him for us and even though he is 35 I think he would still score a shed load and is the sort of player we are missing. It's not like we don't create the chances because we do by the bucket full. It's because somehow we don't score them. A toe in the way, and arse in the way, a post the wrong side. Anything so it doesn't go in. Yet our first was one of those that wasn't even a shot. It was a cross which hit a foot and looped majestically over the keeper. Justice yes but meant no.

I left the ground a few minutes before the last goal. I told my cronies that I needed to go and if I did Argyle would score. Wow, if only I was as good at the prediction league as that. I was walking down the Barn Park hill and heard the screams and shouts and knew they had done just that. The points went were they should have but if we do this again against Swindon then we are fecked. Poor quality a lot of the time.

Watched the video.....would have been hard on the defender to call it an own goal......couldn't see the defenders touch from behind.

Stevenage's goal seem to go straight through Palmer....how did he miss it ?

Well it was most definitely a cross and not a shot so it was definitely an own goal and it definitely hit the defender. If it hadn't it would not have looped the keeper. Suggest you have another look plym. It was my side of the pitch and almost directly in front of me. I might have had a couple after the game and since I got home but at the time I had only drunk tea.

The TV gantry is your side as well....but level with the centre line but higher up....so viewing the action from behind Moore and the defender....but it looked a strange projectory for a cross....so must of flicked off the defenders boot/leg.
