In that silly competition nobody is particularly interested in. No other comment to make so leave it to anyone else who wants to make a comment on it.
It will be interesting to see who will play in goal....How about Argyle Ladies Goalie...to make this silly competition even sillier.. Oh i am silly.
Whole new meaning to parking the bus....literally across the goal...remember it might be driven by an ex-Argyle goalkeeper so that might work fine...makes a 0-0 draw more possible....we could dream of more...but maybe not.
Remi Matthews has returned to Norwich to have his shin injury assessed....so Cooper might play at Yeovil even with his strapped up finger and Childs be on the bench. Will Matthews be back for Saturday if fit enough...or will we be looking for another emergency Keeper ?....and will teams want a lone keeper Cup tied ?
Lots of questions, not many answers-all will be revealed in the fullness of time....... I will be there and predict a 2-0 win and passage to the 2nd round.
Feck it. I'll do it then. Got me gloves and tie on slippers so ready when you are. Draw the line at wearing shorts in this weather.
You could wear a nice pair of black tights under your shorts....that'll keep your little knobbly knees warm......
I look rather good in black tights even if I say so myself................if they have a seam then even better.
It's beginning to look like we might have to play two Accademy keepers between the posts tonight. Cooper is slightly injured so it could be the youngest of the two a 16 year old called Childs. It's not funny anymore is it. Who would want to be a keeper at Argyle this season.
Will Mannion 19 year old Hull goalkeeper is the latest emergency loan to sign for Argyle. Not clear at the moment (1255hrs) who will be in goal against Yeovil....still possible that 16 year old Max Childs could be doing the job.
So no trip to Wembley in the Tin Pot Cup for us this year....losing to the mighty Yeovil.....we've been crying that we're missing Threlkeld and Taylor, well they're back and we lose from a winning position which we aren't used to.....good that Taylor scored for us....not much else to be cheerful about. ps.....Yeovil are struggling in the lower reaches of Div 2....they have poor form at the moment....so have we not got a stronger team this year...or have we just exchanged poor players for similar poor players, so no real improvement in the summer transfer market....what's all that about then, why change poor for poor.....that's got to change in January...we need some serious thinking from James Brent and his attitude towards how to run a football club....why upgrade a stadium when staying in Div 1 is more important.
Just read the GoS match report.....It said...that our defence couldn't withstand the Div 2 sides second half onslaught.....bleaging hell they're a struggling lower league side and except for Miller we had a full strength defence in front of new boy Mannion...who didn't let us down by what I've read.
