Pretty rugged old game this which we won comfortably. Some close tackling on both sides mostly let go by Referee Moss. Thought Alonso looked really sharp, Werner his usual tricky self, Mount a touch off his best. Jorginho got stuck in and Kova was into it from the off. Back three really solid, Rudi and Chalobah also made several forward runs and Chalobah scored a stonker. What a talent this kid is, plays like an old pro, cool calm and collected. Mendy had little to do still pulled off a save or 2. Only Pulisic disappointed me, still loses many one on ones he attempts, and finishes on his bum too often. Looks like he just needs to slow down and take his chances, not try to make one every time he gets the ball. Audi has quite a job sorting out his line up with so many top players for each position.
Good game and Werner will definitely benefit from Lukaku's inclusion. Chalobah looked a genuin prospect, is he related to Nat?
If this is how we start, lord knows what we’ll be like when we get up to speed! Tuchel has a tough job on his hands with the amount of talent we have but competition for places is fierce and with loads of talent available it makes us look very competitive. Kante wasn’t even playing! For the first time in a while we look united, happy and in sync. We’re going to be very hard to beat this year.
His brother Nathaniel Chalobah is also a professional footballer, who plays for Watford, having also previously played for Chelsea. Cut and pasted from Wiki
There is a way to block peoples Sig Gifs. Can't remember how though Been a while since I played around in the settings
Absolutely no idea how that was quoting a totally different post and poster but the sentiment remains the same
Almost too many players, Tammy looks off to Roma, Audi will have to lose some players , Bakayoko, Batman, Rahman, Barkley, Emerson, for starters. He now has an amazing squad. Chalobah can apparently play midfield as well, maybe when Reece is fully fit he might try Chalobah there alongside Kante? Plenty to look forward to that's for sure, just get through this difficult 1st month.
Nice to have a good win to start with. The club is in a great place at the moment, looking forward to seeing how things go.I feel City won't win it this season, and IMO that leaves 3 other options.
I been thinking the same. For some reason I dont think City will win it either, I think they will go all out for the CL. It'll be Chelsea, United or Liverpool, whoever can capitalise the best. Been saying for weeks
All good mate. Liking the look of Chelsea and the feel so far. Cant wait to see Lukaku mix it up too. Even if we dont win the league am hoping we can challenge and bring home another pot at least.
Did anyone else see the game from the West Stand Upper? A pretty good revamp with 3 TVs on the rafters and a view of West London from the concourse. As for the game, I got to see Havertz, Werner and Tuchel for the first time with my own eyes. Palarse were never really in the game. Waiting to see Match of the Day highlights to see if Arsenal were outclassed today as well.
