Getting to qf of Europe imo is a bigger achievement. If he can do that he will kind the kind of kudos that got Hodgson the big job ;)

not seen much at all but the thing to look at is his record with Rangers in europe which by recent Scottish standards is pretty impressive.

Yeah think that’s best way of judging any Scottish team. Scored plenty of goals by looks of it both in Scotland and in Europe

Also unbeaten in the league. I know it’s scotland but keeping that mentality up is impressive.

    77 goals scored
9 conceded. Not sure what record is but just be up there as best defensive record ever?

fewest goals conceded is Celtic with 18, so well on course to beat that

For Gerrard and our sake I would rather see him prove himself further at another club before being considered for us.

The recent ex player manager list of Lampard, Arteta and Ole all took big jobs too soon and aren't doing anything with it. Which will backfire for the rest of their managerial careers

Out of interest, what type of club would you like to see him at? Say for example the Palace job came up, is a top half finish in the Prem with Palace worth more than winning the league with Rangers? Not forgetting the European runs he's had with Rangers as well.

No other job will prepare him better for Liverpool, than the one he's currently in. You can knock the quality of the league in Scotland, but the sheer pressure of needing to win every week, the pressure of stopping Celtic doing 10 in a row this season, a lesser man would’ve walked away having had a couple of attempts at stopping them but Gerrard is a winner, he thrives off that pressure. Going from that to a possible relegation battle, or middle of the road Premier League team does nothing for him or his reputation as a manager.

Having that experience of Europe is also vital. Playing every 3 days so you can’t spent a week training for 1 match etc.

look at ole and lampard and they didn’t have that experience. Arteta is brand new so hard to judge in same category.

I agree I think although the quality of Scotland is clearly not as good, the pressure there is far greater than 75% of the prem teams so it’s a great learning curve.

It’ll happen at some point. I hope it’s not for another couple years so he has some decent experience and we have klopp for a few more building a stable team for a good transition.

Bobby not even on the bench, but a very strong bench. Unfortunately a very weak team, one eye on CL I suspect. It is going to be a long afternoon

    Well that's that then.

    Clearly klopp lied.

This team totally prioritizes the cl over the league.

I agree personally but it will be a **** show today. 3 or 4 nil as I do not rate neco williams

Hopefully we will kick on here and win well just to prove mane and firmino as ****

Well... klopps either gonna be very clever switching things up.. or look very silly with 6 defeats in a row at home.

If we don’t win today we’d have drawn or lost against 5 of the bottom 6 at home..

So Davies still can’t get in the squad despite vvd Gomez Matip kabak henderson being injured and Fabinho being on the bench.

so he’s now 9th choice centre back? Anyone still think he’ll ever actually play for us.
