I don't actually mind him as a pundit. He's obviously biased when it comes to Man Utd and Liverpool but so is Carragher, as was Hansen, many others too.

When Maureen was in charge of Man U I didn't find Neville that bias, in fact he was quite harsh at times. But since his buddy Ole has been manager he seems to have switched back into loyal ManU bootlicker.

Taking a pop at Neville for bias, when you could literally hear Carragher yelling ‘yeah Bobby’ on the gantry when he bagged your second lol.

Neville is a United fan and Carragher a Kopite, they’re both excellent pundits but are sometimes a tad one eyed when talking about their own clubs.

Both of them are a million times better than that absolute clueless ****er McManaman who I want to set fire to when he does Everton games.

In fairness to neville mcmanaman has to be the single absolute pits of a pundit. Its not even him ****ing off on a free. We've long since forgiven that. He is duller that dish water and sourer than lemons.

    He makes neville look charismatic

I have to say carragher is quite annoying too when on the games but yeah maccabi. As I said. Armpit of pundits.

If you put neville and carra up against so.e if the competition they look like absolute gods of tge commentary game.

Macca is awful but better than Owen who is better than ****ing hoddle.

It's like they've had a competition for the most annoying, monotonous voice, with the most obvious viewpoints and then handed the winner a ****ing microphone.

He is a very knowledgeable pundit however as a human being imho he is a twat of the highest order

fist pumping idiots who have broken into a ground is just stupid but typical of the man

it’s his faux persona I dislike- if he was honest I could take it

However he speaks sense so people think he is credible which makes it all the easier for him to be a twat when he wants to be and people fall for it

no idea how when it’s so obvious but there you go

For me there is a reason there are professionals who work hard at their trade
Not easy to be a commentator but yet they just let these guys come on for viewing figures

There will be some lads and lasses out there who would make excellent pundits who are being completely overlooked because for some odd reason they think an ex footballer will have a better insight.

Insights such as "if he'd hit anywhere but at the keeper it would of gone in"

"If that final pass had more quality they'd be in on goal alot more"

    And my personal favourite

"If he was faster he could of got to that"

    Stealing a ****ing living.

The one that pisses me off is "he's got to score there" and its variations. As if they never missed a chance in their entire bloody careers.

"Would have been a foul if it was outside the box" <doh>

"The next goal is an important one" <doh>

"Liverpool have made a tactical change by switching the FBs" <doh>:bandit:

You don't get a commentary at a game so why do we need one on the telly? Ok, it's useful to hear the names of some players because you can't always make out who those little fellers on a TV screen are, but other than that...
I suppose they think the inane jabbering somehow enhances the experience but it does nothing for me.
