It would have been more fun if he'd continued to rant into the mic, then smashed it on the desk and stormed off.
Solskjaer: "We lost to Liverpool, a team you all say are fantastic, and we've been in the game until the last kick of the ball. For me, that's strides forward. There were signs there that we're on the right track."
I just read this and came to post on here. Apparently being schooled in football for 75 minutes and avoiding defeat by a much greater margin due to OUR poor finishing means that the have turned yes another corner. You couldn’t make this up....
I was coming on to post just the same. Reality is they were in the game until we scored the second. It is just that it came in the 90th. Same excuse I saw from some spurs fans. The bigger issue is that we are not killing teams off with the high quality chances we create. That said, you just know we are about to start spanking teams as I have noted Klopp likes to pace his team's over the course of the season.
If we spank teams it will likely be because their levels start to drop a bit and they prioritise other fixtures and competitions towards the end of the season. LFC don't need to change anything. Winning the league is irrelevant now, the high but not excessive pace needs to be maintained for the CL and to prepare but not burn out for next season's title defence. Pushing City to the final day last season is a big part of why they've struggled so much this season. Klopp needs to take advantage of the fact that there's no one forcing LFC to return the maximum results but with appropriate rotation, like playing the kids against Everton.
