Shrewsbury getting a 10 pager, they probably get some money for that.

So Klopp doesn't want another game and wants the players to have a holiday as the PL have said it's important they have a break. That's fine it was never going to be a first team game anyway so just play the kids and people who need game time. I can't see why Klopp won't be managing though?

Replays then. So it's big money for a small team to come to Anfield from what I'm told so just look at the financial situation and even the money so that smaller clubs don't miss out if replays are removed.

It's daft at the moment and easy to resolve. No clubs who qualify for Europe play in the League Cup, no FA Cup replays with financial support put in place for smaller clubs so that they don't miss out.

Or we stop ****ing with the game for the benefit of the few. Again, why should we make such changes just to benefit LFC because they've had an unusually long season? Not my problem springs to mind.

I don't personally know of any matchgoing/smaller club fan that wants them gone. Just a few plastic Liverpool/United fans who have never been near a stadium in their life.

I don't think it's a plastic thing, it's just the amount of games played in the modern season. It maybe great for smaller clubs and as much as we can't have it all out way we do have to look at our own club and speak up if something isn't right.
People will always back the underdog and say that the big club is just acting in a spoilt manner but why shouldn't we look to help ourselves?

Yeah sorry I wasn't suggesting it was, just saying that to point out that it's not considered anywhere near problem that it's made out in the sky 4 bubble.

I just find it frustrating that the clubs who whinge the most about the fixture congestion are the ones with the resources to deal with it.

Mate you know that I'm not saying this to slate Klopp as you know I like him, but I really think that refusing to be on the touchline is disrespectful to the competition and sets a dangerous precedent.

I bet you lot won't complain about the extra CL games coming.

I can't see why he won't be in the dugout. Yes let the seniors have their time off and do what he did in the first game where players who need playing time get it plus the kids.
I think clubs need to sort out the issues with fixtures and in game rules before the season starts instead of all this happening in the middle of the season.

Klopp has already complained about the new champions league fixtures.

If we are indeed putting just U23 out, then it kinda makes sense their manager takes charge, undermines him else.

Like I say I had no problem with them doing it
No idea why they just didn’t play the reserves
    - strangely like what we are about do
Doesn’t bother me in the slightest
from the interviews I have seen I don’t even think Klopp is whinging just explaining but that’s just my op.

Depends if UEFA schedule a break for the same time as the games. Wait till you see the teams that play in the FA cup when the Qatar world cup is underway.

I would personally be quite annoyed if Klopp isn’t there, should virtually be the same team as we played today with Keita, Shaqiri and Lallana getting involved if fit - they certainly don’t need a break as they’ve been out half the season anyway.

Klopps paid a **** ton of money to manage us so if he’s booked some family holiday I’m afraid it’ll have to wait

Think our season and cup timings will be different for that season.

I don't see the break thing as a valid excuse for not attending tbh, it's just acting like a spoilt child and throwing his toys imo.

Lots of other clubs in the same position.

If I were one of the first team squad who started that game, I’d want to put that result right. I get that Klopp wants the first team to have rest but the likes of Lovren, Matip, Origi, Minamino etc should have to play that again.

Also as young lads without their own families (Trent, Gomez) I’d be saying ‘**** the break boss, I’m available’

Hendo as captain too - let’s get this ****ing thing done and give a reason for the fans to pack the stadium. Sure as **** won’t be close to capacity if Klopp can’t even be ****ed. Wrong message imo

At the end of the day we could have this done if we had put a stronger team out so we can't blame anyone but ourselves, the FA Cup is still a big deal to me and we should have had some other senior players in that team imo.
